My pleasure Ryan. Just so relieved it wasn't the diff I sold you.

Wow.
I had (nearly) exactly the same thing happen to me about 2 weeks ago.

CV's were clicking, and rather than just rotating them, I opted to replace them. I figured I'd also buy the CV's complete with new axles, as it wasn't that much more, and would make for an easier install.

Not 2 weeks later, exactly the same symptoms (lightly taking off from lights, and BANG, no power to wheels, and grinding sound).

Turned out to be one of my new CV's.

That's not the same at all. You have broken the spindle at the end of the axle, not the CV.

I have seen this before, and even supplied the replacement spindle. And if I hadn't been too lazy to disassemble the axle I sold to Ryan I could sell you a replacement. As it happens I suggest you speak to Ryan.

Hmm, but unless you are a real neat freak I guess you have two lying around your garage.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm all back up and running. I still had the old one off my old axle.
I thought the part was the outer CV joint (just going by what my mechanic told me).
