K-Tech F215-SS
Hey guys. I just watched VTEC Club 5 and they had a feature on K-Tech's amazing performance rotating assembly! The version I have of the show doesn't have subtitles, and my Japanese is limited, at best.. So, I could only gather some of the deatails about it.
Specs are as follows:
2139cc
88x88mm Bore/Stroke
11.7 CR
The kit features a shorter piston height than stock with a smaller, but thicker wristpin and a weight of 320g (versus 470g stock F20C). Mated to that is a special con-rod that is longer than stock and is stated as a unique H-I beam design from K-tech, weighing in at 532g versus 650g (F20C). The final piece to the puzzle is the K-tech produced crankshaft, which features a shorter stroke than a stock F20C (45mm versus 48mm) and even some knife-edge grinds to reduce weight even further (as well as windage).
Piston Speeds @ 9,000RPMs
F20C: 25.2m/s
F22C: 27.2m/s
K-Tech: 26.4m/s
There was also some Kanji next to the graph describing some sort of load @ 9,000RPMs... I'm not really sure what it was about, though:
F20C: 2280.38kg
F22C: 2517.40kg
K-Teck: 1634.86kg <----After stating this they flashed an enthusiastic banner across the screen with 14,000RPMs on it!
After watching it the feature I went onto all of the usual search engines and they produced nothing for K-Tech or the F215-SS. So, if anyone has any more information on this K-Tech performance package I would really like to learn more about it! A price range and any information about availibility would be really helpful info! Feel free to post your opinions, too.
Thanks for reading.

I have seen this before. It's called the "Square" engine. Because the bore and the stroke are the same. If memories serves me correctly, I thought the wrist pin was 1mm undersized not oversized. Can anyone with kanji skills confirm this please?

Whoops... Hehe, I meant to mention that (or maybe I just typo'd). But, yes the wristpin is a smaller diameter, but to make up for being smaller, they made it thicker in material (wall thickness?).
I can't display the Japanese characters here at work so I can't translate it (just shows boxes and question marks...), but if anyone else can translate it and post it, that would be pretty awesome of you!

Has anyone else seen the video that could maybe translate and see what it was saying about 14,000 rpm?
