Good idea / bad idea?
Hey SnowDriver ... err, I mean Sabre, would you call this a good idea or a bad idea, considering his tires.

Damn near racing slicks. I wouldn't even try to back out of the garage onto the drive with those tires on ice and snow. I'd be afraid it'd slide into the side of the garage door opening.

i tried that last year on this azenis since i had been snowed in for several days. ended up blocking my whole neighborhood and it took 6 random neighbors and people passing by at the same time to help push me back up into the driveway. (not smart)

After getting caught in a mountain pass in a snow storm running summer tires I can easily say... it is a BAD idea.
Part of the nightmare trip when I moved to the PNW several years ago... the car was towed by the state and I spent more time than I wanted in Colorado/Wyoming.

I think this was just a photo shoot, but if you look at the road its just about bare pavement. You could get around in the S on that, but that stuff he is parked in I dont think so. In my GSR though summer tires and snow not a problem.
That car looks sick though

Yeah, I wouldnt be attempting that if I could avoid it.
I drove in 1/4" dusting of snow with a set of ES100s and while I was able to go, it was very tense the entire time and just bumping the throttle a little too much made it start to lose the rear.
