was so looking forward to getting the new iphone later this month , but with all the "reception" problems it looks like it maybe delayed , as rumors of a recall are building :o

I was thinking about it......
Just reviewing Telstra's pricing for plans. Much better value then when the 3GS arrived.

Not me.

I'll just get mine delivered in the morning like my iPad.

believe it or not thats what they are worth on ebay ! and mine was locked to Optus . The unlocked phones sell close to $450-480 and 3GS for close to $500+ .

there will be a flood of them on the market now .

managed to get an iphone 4 yesterday !

i assumed they were all sold out ,as i rang most of the inner suburban stores and everyone is saying there is a 3 week wait .

Walked into the Optus store on George st in the city to register and to my suprise, they had some 16GB's in stock ! :D

walked out with my new phone in about 20mins .

the thing is alot faster than the 3G i had , apps work alot better on this phone , less freezing etc .

I picked up mine on Friday as well. Coming from the original 3G model, this one is blindingly quick. No reception issues either on Optus.

Wonder how it compares to the 3GS in terms of speed?

I notice, some apps appear to perform better. For the most part it seems to perform similarly to the 3GS.

I do notice the display however, especially with higher def videos, its pretty dam slick.

:stupid:

besides the high res screen, its pretty much the same as the 3GS in terms of speed.

Its not the giant leap forward i was expecting, pretty much the same as the 3G i had . :ponder:
