Default Clicking Comptech Supercharger, Video inside

This noise started happening about a week ago, Idk what the problem is, bad bearing? The noise basically starts right from a cold-start, then after about two minutes of driving it gets louder(to how it is in the video) then stays like that.

Listen to it here:

I'm gonna email the video to comptech but I just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Would think that is something internally busted up. Definitely does not sound normal but I don't have much experience with that so I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Can’t say I have heard that type of sound from the blower before. It makes me wonder if you lost a bearing a wile ago and it’s starting to wear through some more substantial bits. I agree with frei, stop using it before potential more expensive damage may occur. Send it off and have it inspected.

Ooh that could be, it does sound similar. I gave the OP the benefit of the doubt and assumed he would have removed the SC belt to indeed verify it was coming from the blower.

Agree with Dan.

Use the old screwdriver listening tool by putting your ear on the end, it works seriously!.

The noise should be coming from near the oil filter, actually the bolt/hole for the TCT removal.

Unfortunately you now have a bracket there, which is a requirement for mounting the SC .

So it may take some time to replace.

Hah thanks for the benefit of the doubt but no I haven't removed the blower, I don't feel entirely comfortable doing it by myself(I'm a noob lol). I've stopped driving it but I guess I'll call comptech tomorrow(they haven't responded yet) and see what they say.

You don't have to remove the blower, just remove the belt so it doesn't spin the blower, this will tell you yay or nay in less then 5min. Just loosen up the tensioner pulley and pull the belt off. You better not pay money or send off your blower without doing this simple task first.

Will the car still run okay if you remove the SC belt, only idle, not driving? Just to see if the valves or TCT is clicking? Didnt know since the car is tuned to the SC.
