Default CR Trunk reinforcement

There's been quite a few requests for this, so I took some (slightly better) pictures today.

The CR trunk has a different part number from the non-CR trunk, and it is due to reinforcement to supplement the CR wing.

Please excuse the picture quality, they were taken with my phone

Whole Trunk. All the black things lining the trunk are supports for the trunk; every single one has left a mark on either sheet metal or a support that corresponds to the one on the trunk.

left side top reinforcement support (Lighting makes the grooves the top part leaves clearer; this piece is flat brand new!)

You can sort of see ribbing in the hole here.

Same hole, better picture.

Different angle of ribbing underneath the skin.

Same picture but zoomed out so you can see which hole I took it through.

Another picture, different hole. The reinforcement is very obvious in this picture.

And, zoomed out again for perspective

Another picture. I have no idea why that hole is there.

And, zoomed out.

And, a few pictures of my bumper. The wing pushes down hard enough where the bumper is now mis-aligned. The support doesn't actually touch the bumper when the car is parked....

I've already acquired a trunk and wing and need those side support pieces for the car that you name "left/right side top reinforcement"

Anyone know where these are available? I couldn't find it on the exploded diagrams from HAP

You need to look at 08 and 09 CR with or without AC to see it.

Here's the link:

The parts you want are 13, 14, and 15, I think. You'll also need to get the bolts to hold it on (or go to home depot)

Ah damn, ok I just need #14, I was looking in the right place but did not realize that is the part I needed. After reading the description that is exactly what I need. The trunk when I purchased it thankfully already had the two L shaped bumpers so all I needed was the additional bracing on the car itself.

I'm guessing it's just double sided tape on the back of it to hold it in place?

I have no idea, but there are no bolts holding it on

It is basically a piece of rubber.

Great pics, makes me wonder about guys just slapping a wing on a non-CR and calling it a day. Honda put some engineering into that set up.

I'm looking for the reinforcement plate that goes between the trunk skin and the frame. Do you know if those can be purchased separately?

Thanks,
Nicholas
