Hi Guys and Gals,

Some of you may recognise the username from other forums as we've owned many different cars (as you'll see shortly)

My name is Nick, i'm 28 and I live near a town called Pwllheli in north wales.

I've been browsing the forum for quite a while now but tend to be more of a search and read member than an active poster. I have to say the forum is full of useful information and so far I haven't had a question that I haven't been able to find the answer for through searching

I've always been into Jap cars as you'll see from the list in a bit and am a bit of a Honda nut so when we sold our last EK9 and were hunting for our next car I was really happy when Keira (the Mrs) said she fancied an S2000. We've got an agreement that we buy a car together, she uses it as a DD for the commute to work etc and I get to spend my hard earned modifying it as I want. Its a really good way of working things as she gets a nice quick car to drive every day and i've got something to play with at the weekends.

We set out on the hunt for the right s2000 and settled for a yellow 99 import but it turned out to be a bit of a dud with a lot more wrong with it than was right so the hunt went on.

We eventually pounced on a MINT 99 Import Type V which had low mileage, excellent history both jap and uk and had some nice goodies fitted which weren't advertised so were a bonus.

Here's some pics from the advert when we bought it:

We've owned the car for 7 months now and its been a pleasure to own so far, so much so that I haven't really done any major mods to it yet.

The cars current spec is:

Mugen gearknob
Samco rad hoses
Mugen socks
Mugen oil cap
ITG air filter with airbox lid removed
Bonnet dampers
Braided clutch line
Braided brake lines
Grooved front discs and uprated pads
Sony bluetooth head unit
Uprated door speakers
Magentic sump and gearbox bolts
Spoon manifold
Custom stainless exhaust
Garage-R decat

But that spec is soon to change as i've been buying a few bits and bobs to get the car exactly how I want it which include:

18" SSR SP1's

Posted Image

MB's Rotrex supercharger Kit

Posted Image

AEM UEGO gauge and sensor
Meister-R Zeta S coilovers
T1-R anti bumpsteer kit
T1-R Driveshaft spacers

I've also got a Kakimoto N1 exhaust which I had fitted to my EK9 and DC2 which i'm seriously considering having modded to fit the S2K and getting a rear bumper cap to get rid of the exhaust cutout.

I'm hoping to get most of the new bits fitted early in the new year and really really can't wait to see what the outcome will be :burnrubr:

We tend to change cars quite often as you'll see below but the S2000 still seems to be ticking all the boxes at the moment and will tick even more once the bits above are fitted so I can see it being around for quite some time 8)

I'll get some more up to date pictures up over the weekend and will try to keep this thread updated with the progress i'm making.

Comments / suggestions / questions are more than welcome ;)

Here's our previous cars :D They are in order from latest owned back.

1996 Prelude SiR

Before the prelude I had a Mugen kitted CRX SiR but didn't keep it long

1989 R32 GTR running 400bhp

Before that was an EK9 running 179whp with a fully built B18 swap and s80 box:

Before that was a Mazda RX7 which was brilliant but at 10mpg it had to go:

Before the RX7 I had an R33 GTR, it had a few mods but nothing power wise:

Before the GTR was a 96 spec JDM ITR:

Before the ITR was and still is my B20 powered 1987 Civic GT:

Before the GT was a 1989 CRX SiR in gunmetal:
http://board.hondacr...r_004.sized.jpg

and before that was a white 91 CRX VT:
http://board.hondacr.../side.sized.jpg

Before the VT was my introduction to Honda's in the form of a 91 Civic VT. I sold this to a mate and it unfortunatly ended up getting burnt out on his driveway by some thieving scumbags who nicked the wheels

http://board.hondacr...c_001.sized.jpg

And before that lot i'd also owned: 84 polo coupe, 88 renault 5 monaco, 90 Daihatsu charade and a Fiat Cinquecento sporting.

Cheers for looking :)
Nick

The R32 was a car we saw ourselves keeping for a long time. I spent a lot of money fitting all the right parts to it to make it an ultimate allrounder

The spec was:

Quote

engine:
MINE'S stainless steel down pipes
MINE'S stainless steel exhaust system
De-cat
MINE'S vx intercooler
MINE'S vx- Rom ECU
R34 GTR Turbo's
HKS hard piping
Blitz air filters
Oil filter relocation kit
HKS oil cooler kit
NISMO oil filler cap
NISMO rad cap
APEXI rad cover
UK Battery

SUSPENSIONS:
Tein type Flex coilovers
Tein EDF controller
MINE'S front strut brace
NISMO alloy suspension arms and links (ALL ROUND)
NISMO rear brace (included in the sale but won't fit with the edfc kit)
BRAIDED BRAKE HOSES F/R
R33 BREMBO FRONT BRAKES
FERODO DS2500 PADS
DBA grooved front discs
RED STUFF rear pads

INTERIOR:
MINE'S custom roll cage ( non obtrusive)
MINE'S LCD TURBO MONITOR
NISMO 320KPH CLOCK'S
NISMO centre console gauges-batt,oil temp,boost.
NISMO ( A PILLAR) GAUGES- oil presure, water temp.
NISSAN CARBON FIRBE HAND BRAKE LEVER
NISMO carbon look dash surround
NISMO carbon look centre panel
NISMO carbon look window switch surround L/R
NISMO gear knob
NISMO kill switch- cig lighter
MOMO Corse 300 or 320mm steering wheel
APEXI MULTI CHECKER/MONITOR
Field E-TS torque split controller
CLIFFORD CAT 1 ALARM 300
Sony CDX-1HD head unit with a 16gig hard drive to store your music on
JBL Rear speakers
Alpine fronts
Pioneer tweeters
10" Sub and Amp

EXTERIOR:
NISMO front bumper ducts
Nismo side spats
Nismo rear spats
Rays wheel nuts in Blue
18" Volk TE-37's
4 new 255-35-18 Falken FK452's

The nice thing about the car was that it was so easy to drive. It wasn't noisey or uncomfortable and with the EDFC kit fitted it could be transformed with the touch of a button.

Unfortunately it met with an early grave late one night round a damp bend and ended up looking like this:

We will end up with another one at some point along with another RX7 as that was by far the best handling most involving car i've ever driven!

With that poor Skyline in mind may I suggest you spend alot on handling mods for the S before hammering the Rotrex on !!

Don't worry about it.

Rhyl is much worse.

Or Prestatyn.

Renault and Ford are working on a new small car for women.
Its a combo car --
Theyre starting with the Renault "Clio".
Then adding luxury features from the Ford "Taurus".
The result will be sold as the "Clitaurus".
It only comes in pink.
The main benefit of the new hybrid: the average car thief wont be able to find it, even if someone tells him exactly where it is.

:D

The Skyline was my first accident in 6 years and was a combination of new tyres, wet road and a little bit too much right foot.

I learn't my lesson that night don't worry ;)

Bharat : I'm afraid it was only a 1.3 16v. I got offered a Gtti about 12 months back and really should have bought it but I was having too much fun with the Skyline at that time.

Ollie : Everytime I ressurect a picture of it it brings back really good memories. I nearly bough Fallon's car at one point, that really was the ultimate!

I figured I might aswell use this thread to keep a record of how I get on modifying the S2000.

The only extra thing i've recently bought is an AEM EMS 1052 for the car off Adrian. It was supposed to be here today but there's no post at the moment due to the weather :(

So instead of pics of the ECU i'll put up some wintery pics of the S. The ones with snow on are from today and I have to say driving the S in the snow took a lot of concentration but was a lot of fun :D

Get the collection posted!

I'm always interested to see people's previous cars.

I had many hairy moments in the RX7 as it had an aftermarket rear diff fitted but it had such a good chassis that it was easy to get back into line.

I've had quite a Jap car history... 5 Imprezas, 2 Evo 8s, DC2, DC5, 4 S2000s... an Exige S too :)
