I TDC'd the piston on each cylinder to do the seals. The valves dropped about 6-8mm when the retainers were removed but once the new seals were fitted there was enough friction to hold them up so the springs and retainers were easy to re-fit.

I did buy a tool to hook up to the compressor and pressurise each cylinder but it wasn't anywhere near long enough to screw into the spark plug thread. It was short by about 2" and although I tried I wasn't able to modify it to work on the S2000's engine.

Rolled the arches today and dropped it some more :D

Arse needs dropping another 10mm to be as I want it so that will be done tomorrow night. Took it for a good ragging this evening and there's no sign of scrubbing / catching anywhere

Well monday is fast approaching so I figured it was about time I opened the box with the supercharger in and started fitting some bits to the car.

Jobs completed this evening are:

Lower rear of car 5mm more
Fit driveshaft spacers
Remove unnecessary stuff from engine bay
Remove front bumper
Mount intercooler and cut plastic for piping
Fit fuel pump

Tomorrows jobs are:

Fit everything else for the supercharger
Fit steering rack spacers
Fit AEM EMS and Modifry ECT
Clean car
Collect trailer and put car on it

Then its off to TDI North to make it all work as one car :D

Just a quick update on this as I've not had the final figures through from TDI North yet.

A more detailed post will follow with all of the weekends events (and there were many  )

All I can say is the car is bleedin' quick now and handles like its on rails.

The last RR result I saw was 362bhp or 320whp but 4 more runs were done after this one so that figure may have changed. I was told it made 390bhp at one point but the map was toned down a little.

I'm off out to football now but will add more info later on

Here's some pics for now though:

I am seriously thinking of boosting mine! Great work on it!
I dont suppose you are ever near Northamptonshire? I really need a passenger ride in a turbo and a supercharged S2000.

The TTS/Rotrex setup uses a 'one size' pulley. This setup (looks like Oxhousers old SC) will be restricted on the air intake to limit the power.

Tdi North and unit 8 both dynoed my old civic within 5 bhp of each other, probably due to ambient temps.

I'd say they're pretty accurate, it's alot of hassle to fool a dyno for a few bhp gain.

Car looks great, are you at any shows this year? Wheel buddies :p

TDI North vave dynoed standard S2000s at 260bhp ..... most other places get 220 to 230 (190 at the wheels)

HTH

your not wrong that is my old set up, if im not mistaken it has a smaller pulley on the SC and the restrictor capped the power to prevent the need for water cooling, it was supposed to give more mid range torque as it hit the curve sooner, i cant find my old dyno sheets but im sure it was 380 ish on TTS RR

It takes about 20 seconds to fudge a dyno figure. I had this proved to me by a guy showing my car develop 300bhp :)

Just involves meddling with the ambinet compensation.

Always ask for the ambient data on your dyno graph...

I give you a few weeks of the lowness before you up it just a smidgen! I ripped up a fair bit of the undercarriage plastics from speed bumps and pot holes and the like. Plus the front of the bumper got some good war scars!

Cheers for the comments guys

I'm extremely happy with the way the car has turned out and for the time being couldn't be happier with the tuning work Paul @ TDI North did. The car drives faultlessly throughout the rev range and actually drives even better round town now than it did before.
I wasn't really chasing any numbers prior to fitting the charger and just wanted to enhance the original characteristics the cars engine had which I can honestly say has now been done. As with normal VTEC the higher you rev the car the crazier things get but with the charger you get to the crazy part a hell of a lot quicker and its a lot more intense

The car pulls like a train from low down in the rev range then hits 4500k where I think vtec is now set and the power just keeps on coming and from 7k onwards you're holding on for dear life

I should receive an email tomorrow containing the plots and figures made on monday so will post them up as soon as I get them.

The intercooler will be sprayed black once I remove the front bumper for it to have some paint as the mrs's horse kicked out when it was being led past and caught the passenger side. I'll also be fitting black mesh to the bumper so the intercooler has some extra protection.

I'd just like to say thanks to a few people who have helped / supplied parts to get the car where its at today:

MB - For selling me the charger setup
Spykee - For the coilovers, shaft spacers and rack spacers
Garage R - For the de-cat
AdrianK - For the EMS
eSeM - For a copy of a map for the aem so I could get the car running
Johnny and Luke @ Tegiwa - For the clutch which is still impressing
Dave (Nominous) - for the last minute.com late night / early morning install session on sunday / monday
And anyone else who's supplied bits / given advice

How are you liking the sound? I always liked the turbine whine and the hiss from the blow off valve between gear changes, just sounds so menacing

Glad to be of help and gad to see that you got it set up and working

Let me know if you ever need any spare parts as I kept a lot of the bits, pulleys belts etc when I upgraded to the new TTS setup.
