I just read this thread on the USA forum, this guy is desperate to blow up his engine, I can't belive it!

As per my other thread I dont drive hard but still always maintain my oil levels.

What got me is the oil light came on in August and he's still complaining about topping it up in December!

I don't see oil as any different to fuel - depending how you drive you will always use more or less than others.

True but running out of fuel is usually far less dramatic
