Yes they do but with the amount of heat and size of the rear caliper, the Rear Z pad will wear out in no time, probably 2 hours of track use. Thats why Dixcel suggested R01 pad with FCR Plain disk rear for better performance and long lasting.

If you want Rear FCR Slot and Z pad it will cost you more than FCR Plain and R01 anyway so why spend more for less?

Are there any cheaper options? I'm going to need new brakes all round in the near future and had thought about a Dixcel setup but the above is a bit out of my price range...

I'll just be using them on the road with probably 2-3 trackdays mixed in.

There are not cheaper option, only thing is you can downgrade the rear to Z pad but is only £30 cheaper and it doesn't last as long.

This setup is perfect for both road and track use, so if you are planning to track your car then this is the perfect setup.

Agreed, this combo survived a full day at Combe, Rocky, the Ring and 2 days at Spa on mine :D

Not even a sign of cracking which can be quite an issue on the S2000.

Yep specially on the rear disk, thats why Dixcel strongly suggested this combo for all S2000 user, If I am using the S2000 for racing this is the setup I would go for as well.

Guys - please can you educate me. Are these a better alternative than the more traditional BBK's such as Brembo or Stoptech?

Once I get a little more power then the brakes will be my next step - I have the option of the Brembo front kit but where can you find data on the relative stopping power of the various options?

Thanks

Size doesn't really matter, is all depends on the quality of the disk and pad. Temperature control is also important.

If you look at F1 car they are only running 282mm front disk which is alot smaller than s2000 oem disk.

Some info from the Cadwell track day today:

My Dixcel equipped car was lapping at the same times/speeds as an OEM equipped car - slight differences in driving style but no massive difference.

My brakes were over 100C cooler than the OEM car (measured in the pits directly after a session and cool down lap).
