Road trip to Monaco - Now with pictures!
Since buying the S2000 i have always wanted to do a trip to Monaco so after some planning and taking some advice from this forum and other forums i have booked a trip with the missus.
Firstly we will be heading to Folkestone and will be staying in a hotel that night so we can get on the euro tunnel early in the morning.
We will then head from Calais to Belfort and stay over night there so we can hop over the Swiss border early next day.
The next stop will be Chur where we will stay over night, during that trip to Chur we will do the mountain passes as reccomended by lots of people.
The next day we will do some more mountain passes whilst heading towards Lake Garda for a night.
Next stop will be to the Ferrari Museum at Modena which will lead us to Monaco where we will stay for 2 nights.
Next drive will be to Montpellier for a night and then the next day we will head back to Paris (stopping at Millau Bridge) where we will stay for 2 nights before heading back to Calais and the Uk.
Total mileage exc all the mountain passes and sightseeing is about 2600miles.
Here is a map of the trip.
If anyone who has done this trip and has some suggestions or advice that would be gratefully recieved.

It's a bit out-of-date, as it was written for the Euromeet in 2009, but most of the information still holds good!

High vis vest things.
First aid kit (Basic stuff, plasters, a dressing and a crepe bandage to show willing)
Credit card
Small sockets set with screwdriver bits (If you're taking a coil pack)

When you get to Monaco a day in the Gorges Verdon is not to be missed.
When passing Nimes, the Pont du Gard is worth a detour and as you go up the A75 take a drive around the Cirque Du Navacelles. How much time have you got?
We go in the middle of June for 4 weeks.
Day 1, Midlands to Le Touquet, day 2 Saumur, day 3 Figeac, day 4 Peret where we stop for 2 weeks, we intend to revisit the Camargue, Circque du Navacelles, Adge, other places are to be planned and many great restaurants we know. Then to drive up to the Cote D'Or for a week to a great chambre d'hote and visit friends. Finally take 3 days to drive home. Still not sure about La petite train jaune as more information required to see if we can get on to it with a wheelchair, if we do we have decided which part of the route to travel and where to go for a meal

We don't eat breakfast in the hotel as you can pay £14+ each for bread & jam, we take breakfast bars and then stop for lunch. If you eat at a bar you can eat for £10 each including wine. You can only get food between 12-00 to 14-00 and after 18-00 so plan your stops for those times.
As you head up to the Central Massif try to find time to visit Puy de Velay and wonder how they built the buildings on top of the peaks.

How widely used is English in southern france? we have heard stories that we'll be able to get by without knowing any french however some people say that you need to know the basics...........
