Anyone know of an outdoor shooting range? I need targets a little further out than H&H can provide...

I dont know of any but how far of a range are you looking for? Also if you dont mind me asking what might you be using to shoot that far? I shoot my rifle a lot too but i use it out at my farm.

I bought a 1942 mosin nagant. The thing is beautiful, it's brand new, I'm the first owner other than "mother russia". At H&H it was just fun to shoot it, but with it being so accurate I didn't have to even try there because the range is so short. I need a challenge.

post up a picture if you can. But yeah a short range will make a gun pretty accurate. I like shooting out the the 200+ yard with my browning 30-06.

I'd love to post up a picture... but the s2ki gallery is crap right now, actually, it doesn't work at all, but they are working on it I guess.

And yeah, LOL, shooting a gun in doors that people have shot well over 800 yards with is kinda lame. I would love to find a place that I could get some long range practice. You shoot 200+ yards at your farm? That's cool you have a place to shoot out that far. I on the other hand have over 100 rounds of ammo that's gonna go to waste... :brokehrt:

the range by slaughterville sucks. its a public range by some public hunting area out there. if you go there, make sure you bring something to shoot off of, and make sure you bring something that will hold a target. and watch your back for ignorant rednecks that show up and start shooting from behind you at any given moment. and their range is only about a hundred yards too. and its way too far away.

i'm a member of tri-city gun club, which is just south of norman, across from the riverwind casino. its a pretty nice facility, lots of room, and a 200 yard rifle, a seperate pistol range, and a plinking range, and a skeet field. let me know when you want to go and maybe we can set something up.

Wow, thanks man! I'd be down to go ANYTIME. (disclaimer: unless the needs of the Air Force are greater)

It's good there is a pistol range too, it'll give my wife something to do since she won't shoot rifles. (she'll shoot a .45 all day though  )

Just give me a heads up and I'll let you know if I can go. Hell, I'd even be down for this weekend even though I need to finish my car...

Yeah, I just bought a Sig556 with red dot and a pistol gripped Mossberg 12ga too!

I think I found one either called Banner road range, or it's off of Banner road...

S&W M&P15. I've only got one mag for it though. Which is a shame really.
