I can organise a track day at either Barbagallo or RAC DTC if enough S2Ki members are interested.

I'm Perth - SOR but still pretty close to CBD
Interested in taking the car to Barbs, but I've always been concerned about the giant curb at pit-entry / last corner coming onto the main straight. I was there a while back on the ultra-fast karts and it seemed pretty big.

The minimum cost of running an AASA track day at Barbagallo would be as follows;
Circuit Hire : $2500 (half a day on a week day) or $1900 (an evening)
AASA Event Insurance : $715
Total : $3215
If you had about 20 cars, you would be charging approx $160 per car. If we could get 10 S2000's (which is a little more likely) you would be looking at approx $320 for a half day.
Aus2000: This is not a commercial post - I am just pointing out the costs involved.

you problem is going once, the standard and advance karts are crap the elite and super elite ones make it a bit more interesting, however we stopped using belmont as they restricted our licenses becuase we hadnt been with 3 months. tried the wanneroo go kart track which is an awesome track but the karts are terrible home made jobs. then there is cockburn which is the same as the belmont track but tighter so it more fun even on slower karts.

Thanks mcopley!
20 cars huh... I'll ask few of me mates (non S drivers)...
How many cars do they allow on the track at the same time?

Mate, the best way to enjoy S2k is on the track. On wet day it's even better (and more fun!). Not to mention you'll learn how to drive and handle your. Worst thing that can happen is you'll overshoot a corner and end up on the grass or you have a sore neck at the end lol

If we did the long track (so a half day event), then I would be happy to have up to 10 cars on track at once. If you can find at least 10 cars (preferably all Honda's) then I should be able to fill the other 10. Maybe you could post something up on OzHonda to see how many other Honda's would be interested?
