You might be getting oil past the spark plug tube seals.

not that I know but a bad 02 sensor can

check the valve retainers also. i bought an engine really cheap the guy removed with low compression and a misfire code.... ended up the retainer had cracked and the valve touched the piston just enough to barely bend it.....(no marks on the piston or valve, just barely bent but enough to only have 90 psi of compression) i put on another head that i had and it fixed all the problems with that engine.

Thanks, the o2 seemed good before I changed the cat. Not getting any other code besides misfire. Even added the o2 defouler.
I'll check the retainers but guessing it should be ok as they were replaced a couple years ago with ap2. Hope it's just valve adjust.

I researched and found out the 04-05 coils would work on a my2000. Also found out the coils are the same as my parents crv. So I swapped them to test and the car runs good. No more cel. Time to order some denso coils.

The coils are also shared with any K20/24 engine Honda, this makes it easy to find a good cheap set of used coils.

Just to share my experience maybe it will help someone.
I recently swapped my tired f20 with a 55k f22 that has sat in a garage for 6 years. I started her up and you could tell right away she was running on 3 cylinder. Pulled the codes cylinder 3, 4 misfires and a random misfire. I changed the spark plugs and coils(from my tired but working f20) that didn't help. Made sure all the cylinders were getting spark which they were. Moved on to the fuel, all injectors were getting electricity. At this point I was fearing the worst (bad compression, bent valve...) As a last ditch effort I figured I would clean up my old f20 injectors and give them a try. After I swapped the injectors the car ran 100%. I find it odd that it was a faulty injector but I am happy she's running.
