Hi Guys,

Planning on buying this 2nd hand intake and shipping it to aus.

I've pm'd the lad and he's asking what shipping can he do.

Can anyone recommend some shipping companies that don't charge a fortune and send packages at a reasonably fast rate, say 2-3 weeks.

Cheers,

:stupid:

But in my experience you get it in 4 days. 747s can only fly so slow.

Mine is ALWAYS 14 days to the day, if not slightly longer.
Arrives in Aus in about 2-3 days when its received by customs... where it sits... for about 2-7 days, then sent up here by road or air, then to the local distribution centre the next day, then to my local post office the next day, where I then get a pink slip to pick it up the next day after 4pm.

Whole ordeal is almost exactly 10 business days / 14 days in total from sent to received.

I guess that is the difference living in a hick town. Stuff gets delivered to me much quicker but then my mum's basement is pretty close to Sydney CBD.

I didn't think Sydney was a hick town ;)

Delivery time has varied, in my experience. Some items arrive in a few days, with others taking several weeks. I guess several factors are involved, but it's never consistent.

True. I guess your Blacktown is like our Ipswich, and your Bankstown, is like our Logan. But can you top Woodridge? Parts of people's cars are known to get stolen as they drive through the suburb, even the AusPost van!

You pretty much don't get any with USPS.

Other than my last parcel, nearly every other parcel has had proper updated tracking.

Hmm, might be the same difference as last time we spoke. I see "Submitted at post office" in US, then the packages arrives so I don't check tracking again. For you it takes so long to get to Hicksville that they manage to update the tracking info. :stick:

Most of my parcels have had updated tracking info too.. with most parcels taking only 4-5 days to arrive. I have had 1 case with USPS where it wasnt updated but still arrived (or updated as it arrived) lol

Will hit the Aus Post DC tomorrow.
Will arrive in my letterbox the following day.

~10 days. Bit quicker than usual.

In an ironic turn of events, I still haven't got this part, and they can't find it down the post office.
