CEL after doing pulls on the freeway
Hey guys here's the problem. I tried searching but saw only like one topic. So I was doing a pull entering the freeway in 2nd gear CEL came on after 7K, car bogged down and wouldn't rev pass 3K. I pulled over and plugged my scanner in and it pulled a P0344 code camshaft sensor. I cleared the code and it didn't come back on. I than did a pull in 3rd and 4th gear brought it up to about 8-8.5k and no problems. I than did another pull before I got home in 2nd gear and same thing happend. I check the code and it was the same code. Cleared it and drove normal and no problems on the ride home. This happend to anyone? I know your not suppose to do pulls in 2nd gear but I was trying to run through the gears and stop at 4th. Thanks in advance guys.

Well the easy way is take it to a Honda dealership and have them check the sensor. If the same code came up more than once you have a problem. Just take it easy till you get it looked at, or it will be a lot more than just a diagnostic fee...

Funny the same exact thing happened to me yesterday. It's at the shop right now being looked at. Mine is an '01. It seems to burn oil and it was low when this happened. Otherwise the car runs great. Recently had valves replaced along with valve springs and guides.
When it happened did you notice vtec kicking in or did it seem like the vtec cam never engaged?
