FS: 2000 Honda S2000
It's a MY00 (AP1).
- 116k kms IIRC.
- U.S. car, I bought it from a Canadian in 2007 (already through the RIV process for importation).
Engine
- Jay's Tsuchinoko Racing Intake.
- Toda Header.
- HKS Hi-Power Exhaust.
Wheels and Tires
- 949 Racing 17x9 front, 17x10 rear (anthracite).
- Toyo R888 255/40-17 front, 275/40-17 rear, new this spring.
- Have two sets of original AP1 wheels I'd let go with the car if desired.
Suspension
- MY08 S2000 CR front springs and MY08 CR dampers front and back.
- AP2 rear subframe (stiffened with welded steel plates).
- Original MY00 front and rear anti-roll bars.
Brakes
- stainless brake lines.
- Fresh brake pads 12 August 2011.
- Rotors were new when I bought it at 94k kms (IIRC). Lots of thickness left.
Body
- Silverstone silver w/ red and black interior.
- VIS replica Mugen style hard top in carbon fibre.
- Soft top removed (drops about 70 lbs of weight).
- Curb weight with ~2/5ths tank of gas is ~1240 kg (2728 lb) according to MTO weigh scale.
- AP2 interior door panels with tweeters.
Fun car that handles great and is very controllable at the limit.
I love the suspension setup: great for track but not so hard or over damped that it beats you up on bad roads. Spring rates are 375 lb/in front & 291 lb/in rear IIRC. All the early AP1 quick oversteer traits have been tuned out but you can make it rotate nicely when you want.
For Motorsport Club of Ottawa Autocross series purposes this is an "A Class" car.
Sold safetied and e-tested, as is, where is. This is not a stripped out race car, full interior and very daily driver capable.
I'm asking $19,995. If you total up all the parts on this car, even at used prices, this is still a great deal.
