The Sub Frame Collar kit is Simple to Fit and Low Cost, Subframe Collars ease into position without affecting the basic Geometry of the Body.

S2000 Subframe Collar Kit for AP1 and AP2, this 12-piece color Stability mod will Improved crash Safety, lower vibration reduction, prevent tire wear, indoor and outdoor noise reduction Improved Handling & Stability.

The way the Subframe Collar works is Simple. Bolt holes through the chassis panel and sub frame are too big as they were designed for ease of production in the factory. When the car leaves the factory, everything is New and Tight and the Chassis hardly moves. After a while, the bolts become slightly looser and movement between the panels begins. This is why an older vehicle fitted with new bushes, Shocks and springs, still doesn't Behave Like a New Car.

The Subframe Collar is an aluminium washer (as per photo) with a square outside Taper to increase adhesion on the Thinner flange portion in the middle. This fits between the moving panels and with a properly sized bolt (and Bolt Hole as part of the Rigid Collar) is crushed into place when tightened, joining the two panels and Stopping Movement Forever.

This will be available at DMS for just £120 a set inc VAT.

Fitting will take less than 2 hours and you will need to get your Geometry reset after this fitted as both front and rear subframe will need to lower down.

Thanks

Dixon

I haven't tried it on myself yet but I have ordered a few set already, one for the Hel s2000, one for the yellow supercharged one and 2 sets to keep stock. We will fit it on and test it out on track.

I believe in the theory and saw how much gap on each subframe bolt so I believe it should help to stiff things up a bit.

We are taking the Yellow supercharge s2000 to Rockingham on Monday, after that will fit those collar on and go back to the same track and test it out again. I will take video on both and see if we can see/feel any improvement.

I'm looking forward to hearing from people once we have some fitted sets knocking around.

I'd like to hear about the real world benefits people have found after fitting.

It wasn't spoon idea, I saw other race car fitted those locking washer way before spoon got this out. Hardrace made this for us and we have some more new parts developing with hardrace at the moment as well, all for s2000!

The transmission tunnel is Same price Like the Spoon one, its a CNC product thats why the price is high. If you go under the car you will see a half moon shape metal bracket sit below the propshaft, this brace will replace that bracket there and Stop the tunnel Flexing.

We just Fitted the first set of the Subframe Rigid kit, it was a lot more Difficult to fit then we expected. The tolerance is so fine, if you subframe is 0.1mm out then this won't go in. This collar filled all the gap on the subframe bolt surrounding and you really do need another ramp to lift the subframe up from the middle and slot into the collar. Once they are all slotted in, the subframe have absolutely no movement at all.

Few photos when it fitted -

Front Subframe, same thing you have to get the subframe sit absolutely square or it just won't slot it. This kit made the front and rear subframe both sit perfectly in the middle with no more movement at all.

You can see from the bolt hole, how much gap there was before and how tight it gets after.

No you don't need to replace the subframe bolt, they are stretch bolt but can get used for 2-3 times. Just like Honda OEM head bolts, you can reuse them once with a couple pounds of extra torque setting.

PS. don't type in the middle of the quote, I was well confused. Took me a while to spot what you said.
