I was actually thinking about doing a competition last night.. thats a great idea. Will we be allowed to tweet the photo's or must they be raw?

Also if not a specific area every time, maybe just a specific topic, like motion or lights.. strangers butts.. :) etc..

Fixed.

I actually just thought of a fun topic. But, it may not work for everyone. So, that would factor into if it could be used or not.

Its not a topic, but a requirement for a topic.

"Fill in the blank topic" that must be shot with a fixed 50mm lens. To get the shot you gotta self zoom by walking closer, further etc

I'd say basic stuff for sure is fine, but I'd say no to pasting other buildings, tree's etc to fill a blank spot in the photo.

But, Cropping, colors, sharpness, I think should be fair game. Each person has s different feel they like, so I saw we allow that to be shown.

Exactly, I was only thinking about effects and maybe HDR, no photoshopping for anything. I found that google's picasa is actually a pretty awesome basic editor.

I think we need an official thread so we can post assignments and submissions. Apparently this idea is getting pretty popular..

Started the photo walk thread, check it out!

But I think we should keep this thread and use it as well for day to day stuff and questions.

Posted ImageI did some cool shots on the west side by those old brick buildings, by 65. A photo session or walk sounds fun.

I just discovered that Antique Archeology "the American pickers" show guys, have a store in this building.

They had a new episode this week and it showed them moving stuff in. The building with a rooster and arrows or sun rays behind it is their door.
