I dont even know where to start on this. On September 9, 2011 i sold my 94 integra gsr. On september 10 i went to don carlton honda in tulsa and purchase a 2011 honda cr-v se 4wd off the lot with only 12 miles and only been there for 3 days. I also purchase a side molding for the car. I was very happy of the car. Took it home, I had a schedule to take the car back on september 13 for them to put the side molding on. but the car had some paint over spray on the car. my car was black and the over spray was white. I was told they would get the paint off. (We purchase a 2011 honda crv also earlier that year for my mom and its white and have some over spray of orange and brown over the car too. took the car in to get it clean off but honda didn't even clean them off.) After waiting for 3 hours i get my car back and i just got in and drove off to the place to get my window tinted in the front. when i got there i notice that my car was scratchs up from the passager side rear door all the way too the back. i was very mad and took the car back to the dealer to find out what happen. My sales lady told me they would fix it up and after another hour of waiting she came and got me it was done. I came out and notice that all the scratchs was just there and just as bad as before. i told her that its still there. She end up telling me to bring it back next week on thursday on the 22. I end taking the car back on the 22nd. it was a raining morning. when i drop off the car my sales lady didnt even want to help me out anymore. she just took the car back and i went into the waiting room. i ended up having honda driver take me to st. johns urgent care to get my tb test read out. when i got back my car was already in the front lot. i ask is it done. she told me yes. i took a look and i still see scratchs. at this point i was really mad already they they haven't fix the problem and the first place i took the car in clean and got my car back like a use car. she asked her manager to come out. all he told me was drop the car off this monday morning and give him two hours and they will get my car detail inside out and the scratchs will be taken care of. so this pass monday on the 26 i took the car in and got it drop off. after two hours my car came back not clean on the inside like i was told it was going to be detail inside out. and also the scratch was still there. i was told by one other manager that the only way the car scratchs was going to get taken out was to repaint the car. (i told them i didn't want the car repainted because i know couple years down the road the paint will starts to chip and will just be worst.) i pull him out to show him my car and how i felt about it because i took the car in and they did the damage. i asked him that i wanted a new car and he told me he couldn't get me a new one because its been 3 week already. (i though to myself its been 3 week because you guys hold me off this whole time). he told me that i was making a big deal out of this that if the car was his he wouldn't mind the scratchs. (THIS REALLY PISSED ME OFF AND I WAS GOING INTO A REALLY BAD MOOD.) I told him that if this was a use car i wouldn't mind. and also if i did the scratchs i wouldn't mind too. but this is a brand new car and also honda did the damage. he told me all they can do now is painted my car and they will cover the cost. i ended up going home mad only. i call back and asked them that i didn't want them to work on my car anymore that if i take it to another shop will they cover the cost. he told me that wouldn't which made me even more mad. so no i decide to just not even take my car to them because they will just make it worst even after paint.

My reason for posting this is to anyone that is thinking of purchasing a car from don carlton honda should think again. I would take my hard earn money somewhere else.

have you contacted honda north america? sometimes it can help. when Bob howard scratched my front bumper I filed a complaint with the BBB, honda north america and kept calling and calling and showing up at the dealership. They eventually paid for my ricks badge that was damaged.

I still won't be doing any business with bob howard any time soon.

I agree, file a complaint.

Trav and I purchased a new 2007 CRV from them and had a few issues that needed to be fixed. They basically blew me off and it was very obvious they thought I was an ignorant female and tried to make me believe there were no problems with the vehicle. I too became very pissed off at them and will not recommend them.

Don't give up, take action.

Hate to hear about this. I am glad I don't work for the Honda dealership, I work at Acura and things are different here. To bad I didn't know you were looking and I would have set you up with one of my saleman friends at Joe Marina. Great guys there!

on a side note. I know the body shop they will take it to and that is Impact Collision. They are a great shop. You wouldn't need to worry about the clear coat peeling.

FYI Impact Collision fixed the hail damage on my Fit and they did a good job. Sucks to hear about your crappy experience.

thats good the hear that your car came out good. i'm just going to live with the scratchs now. i wouldn't bring my car back to them anymore also. dealing with them is too hard. they dont really treat customer right too. after the money is in there hand. there customer service goes way down on how you get treated there.
