Ok, well if we are leaving saturday, I may be leaving friday if Jenn flies into Knoxville that afternoon.

The wife and I may leave on Friday as well, we haven't totally decided yet. I'll keep you in the know.

If you do, call the hotel and let them know, may get a better rate

In all I had to replace 3 broken vtech solenoid bolts, the 3/8 brass nipple on the oil pan for the oil return was cracked in half, and 4 oil pan bolts sheared in half. All parts installed with the vortech. I don't think that shop that installed it did it right. :) But it all stronger bolts now. Search Vortech broken bolts on google and an S2ki thread is the top listing. It happens alot apparently. I think the bolts they selected work fine in corvettes and mustangs, but our F20 revs higher and an inline 4 rocks way more than a V anyway. Maybe Vortech didn't stress test to much.? Its all good though. I learned a shit ton about our cars by doing all this. I must have reinstalled my cams and timing 5 times. I think I removed my SC about 10 times. Its cake now.. :)

Yea i wasn't shearing them, they would fall the f@#k out. When I talked to vortech they pretty much said tough shit. I hope they started sending new hardware with these kits.

Do your best to ensure your car is ready, you don't want to be the one that holds up the group.

If you show up with bald tires and have a flat during the trip we may just leave you behind.

If your car isn't ready don't come.

Don't get hammered the night before DAVID, these roads are dangerous at normal driving speeds. You will need to be on your toes for this event.

  • Be smart and don't drive beyond your limits.
  • Don't cross the double yellow. Seriously!!
  • Look through the corners, your car will follow your eyes.
  • If the lead car goes down a dirt road don't follow!
  • If you room with drew bring soap on a rope.

Fixed :)

omfg

speaking of driving. I've never been down this road, so I might want to bring up the pack so I don't hold anyone back.

I've only had the car for 3 months AND I've never been to the Dragon. Probably the most inexperienced person here :crycry:
