hi all,

what better place to ask than you guys.
i'm thinking about buying a beater maybe a gymkhana/togue beater. something much like my s14 but something street driven, i don't care what happeens to it I just want to abuse it like I abuse my other cars. I was thinking of a s2000 VGS.
its either this, suzuki cappochino mazda miata (which is gay as shit but could be better than s2000) and maybe r32 GT-R (but I want something RWD).

However I don't know much about s2000's anymore. I only cared about AP1 s2000s to begin with anyway. so what's the difference with this and other s2000 models?

vgs has variable steering geometry. the steering rack changes ratio from low to high speed. its like 1 turn lock to lock at 10mph and 2.x lock to lock on the highway

another car that wasn't available in the states

sounds kinda lame. uh, suspension upgrades? nothing? just that? i mean i'll probably change suspension anyway but its not stiffer or anything than normal s2000's?

nope. Just get a cheap '99-'00. You don't need VGS on a track car. It's just another thing like traction control or stability assist that helps to drive the car for you instead of you being the one to control it.

The VGS increases the rate of it's "help" the faster you go like Joe said.

They are all relatively cheap, including the VGS. I guess I'll start weighing if another s2000 is the way to go. Thanks Brohirem!
