Loving the info on the site regarding these setups. One item I am having trouble finding much info on (And feel free to send me a flaming search link if I am just missing it, but I have read a lot of posts on here looking already). For Koni yellows with sleeves (GC) what are most people finding to be the right length spring? I am seeing a lot of 8inch front/7 inch rears out there but not necessarily on the Koni bodies with sleeves. I am likely to be running somewhere around an 800F/650R spring rate and dropping it roughly and inch.

I would run 6 inch front and rear springs with those rates.

I'm 2.5x7" front and rear with Genesis Technology helper perches and Hyperco helper springs. At 13.5F/13.5R, I could probably run without helpers but any lower and the springs would become unweighted when unloaded. Depending upon the tophats and helpers used, some people have reported issues with the perch/collars contacting the front a-arms.

So far on here and from various vendors I am hearing anywhere from 6" to 8" springs at the rates I am working with.

I am planning to use GC sleeves and OEM top hats. The Konis I have once belonged to TheNick actually. I bought the car from a guy who got those Konis from him.

As far as helpers, I am not sure yet if I will be using them. I would like to avoid needing them if I can.

I have not heard yet about the issues of contacting the A-ARms. Is that happening mainly when running the 2.5 inch diameter spring? GC sleeve kits only come with 2.5 inch springs, and even if I go with Hyperco springs and some other sleeves 2.5" does give a bit more flexibility in finding springs and I believe is a bit cheaper.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.

those would be too soft for my application. 800/650 are arguably on the lower side of stiffness for an STR build, but I also street it so I am trying to keep it manageable. Thanks for the offer though.

I am likely going with 2.25 inch springs now, since I may not be re-using the old sleeves and will be replacing them and the perches. Aka, not using the GC sleeves and perches.

Still trying to get a better idea for the springs, but likely will be going with 8" and 7" or just 7" all around. I think that will keep me in a spot with some adjustability on the sleeves with the ride heights I am choosing, but I am still playing around with those numbers.

That will be too soft in the rear. You will have to run excessive rear ride height so you don't bottom out the shock, taking away from the static camber gain you get from lowering.
