I will try to keep the story brief (well I started this way... but it turned out longer than I wanted). First let me say that I don't work for Hesselbein and have no affiliation with them.
About a 9 months ago, I brought my S to the 91st and Memorial location to have some new Dunlops mounted. I got the tires from Tire Rack as Hesselbein did not have them available. I brought the tires to their store and handed over my S to get them mounted. This was on a Saturday afternoon. A little later I paid a $40 mounting fee and brought my car home. On Sunday, time to break in my tires.... but uh oh... I see something strange on the front lip. Turns out it looks like my car was pulled to far forward to a parking curb and.... "Crunch"..... damage included clear bra ruined, front lip cracked, front bumper paint spider cracks.
I am of course
He understood my frustration... figured one of his guys must have screwed up and would never confess or report it to him. So a letter was written to corporate. The company suggested that I bring my car to one of their suggested dealers to fix it. My response was that I wanted to bring it to the body shop that I trusted. So they told me to go ahead and start the body work where I wanted it done and send them the receipts. I did all of that. New front lip. New front bumper. New clear bra. New S badges. Sent all the receipts to Hesselbein - THEY PAID IN FULL NO QUESTIONS ASKED AND NO FINANCING REQUIRED BY ME - they literally took care of everything.
A few weeks later I got a letter in the mail. The letter was from their head of marketing apologizing for any inconvenience that they caused and explained how much they valued their customers. As a token he gave me 10 discount cards. It is more than I will ever need. The cards give the following discounts:
- 10% off all tires
- Oil Changes for $19.95
- 15% off all automotive parts
- $15 off all alignments
- And of course fee rotation, balance and flat repairs.
Today I replaced all four of the tires on our "sports bus" with a some Yokes. Bill was $722. I presented the discount card. Price was $595. Good deal.
So... sorry for the long winded story. Bottom line is that I still stand behind Hesselbein as I have for years to do the right thing. I have a few extra discounts available so if anyone is in the market for some tires or something and want to take advantage, PM me. I will send to you. Only check my PM once in a while.... so please be patient.
