Smiles For Miles is the brain child of high school student Meti Fenwick. After an eye opening trip back to her home country of Ethiopia, Meti was overwhelmed by the extreme poverty in Ethiopia and was inspired to start the Smiles For Miles charity.
In August Smiles for Miles charity held a benefit dinner to raise funds for the Angels Children’s home in Abbis Dabbis Ethiopia and was successful in raising just over $12,000.
The Angels Children’s Home was founded by Tonna Barthet, and currently houses 25 children between the ages of 6 and 16 and provides food, shelter, healthcare and most importantly education, a vital weapon against the poverty cycle.
Myself (Jamie P) and Francoise were asked to perform at the Smiles for Miles charity event. When we heard of the Angels Children’s Home our hearts were so touched and we offered to write a song especially for the event raising funds for such a meaningful cause.
ALL PROFITS made from our song go directly to the Angels Children’s Home.
If we were all to make our own contribution we can help to make a change and create a positive reaction that can be far-reaching and truly life changing for the Angels of the Children’s home in Abbis Dabbis, Ethiopia.
Smiles for Miles is now available on itunes for only $1.69. Click here to download
Lets come together and make that change! Lets create Smiles that can be seen for Miles!
