I hope the events aren't all on Monday nights again -- I just can't get away from work to get up to Edmonton and back. If there is a weekend event, I will *really* try to make it there. Of course, I'll get schooled, but that's the fun :)

Mostly Monday nights I believe, but there will be a few full day weekend ones. I will be sure to post a thread on time attacks in the next few weeks.

I have a feeling you will do just fine... in fact I am the one who is worried:)

cheers

Don't be worried. I went to a track day at Race City (the last one ever), and I am pretty pathetic. My drivimg style is extremely aggressive at each corner, so for an entire track lap, I eat up tires and really don't let the car do what it wants. More like every lap is a qualifier instead of saving tires and brakes. Not good for a day's lapping :(

Had some fun getting my car out of the work parking lot yesterday. Roughly 8-10 inches of snow on the ground and someone in a 4x4 had gone in and out once. Backed the car out just fine but trying to get forward motion was an exercise in futility with the stability control on. Turned it off and spent about 40 seconds spinning the back end to move 100 feet to the street. :D I think my Blizzaks are either too worn or too old for effective work in the snow - they were horrible. Probably need to throw the 225s on back instead of the 245s as well because the car just floats...

I had nokians at 215 all around and they rocked. Kept 2 bags of sand in the back as well.

I tried the sand bags in the back during the first part of the year and ended up with a car that kept diving to the side (the back end would yank) on a hard shift. Very disconcerting. Took them out and it went away. Not sure if it was a function of tread squirm, tire pressure, alignment or something else but it was pretty bad.

I might be able to sell you my winter setup, depending on when/if I buy a winter beater for next year. Are you wanting to buy winter wheels/tires immediately or in time for next year? I don't plan on buying a beater for a while yet but once I do, my winter wheels and tires (two sets of tires, one set of wheels) will be up for sale.

I also have a full set of winter tires for the S2000 that I don't particularly need, in 17" sizes. My current set still has decent tread. I paid $500 for them and will give them to you for the same price (I haven't used them yet). They're Blizzaks that are barely used, 215/45/17 front and 225/45/17 rear, I believe (would have to double check later tonight, when I'm home).

ya I was looking for something for the rest of this winter... or if anyone wanted to trade my ap1 wheels with pretty much brand new toyo summer tires for their winters because I have new wheels coming in anyways.

I would be more than happy to join you and not even use PAX as my excuse, but I am worried about the pylons from other cars being catapulted onto my pristine paint.

see you at strato:)
