where is your race car based HEL?

surely that garage has basic tools and if you would you be prepared to let someone try fit your race car seats into a stock car before ordering a set this might help prove they do or do not fit and allow you to take photo's to help you advertise them.

Maybe offer a free set of brake lines to someone local if they are just going to help prove they fit,

just a thought as I would be truly gutted if i ordered a set and then they turn up and did not fit,

Thats a brilliant help, many thanks for this, makes the whole thing a whole lot easier. I can see already that the Corbeau seat is narrower than the seat here, will do the other measurements this week and post up.

In the meantime, and quite rightly as people have pointed out, I have edited the initial post to say we are in the process of confirming or not if these seats will fit OEM spec cars...

It will be an option yes, first we need to check the measurements and do a test fit as suggested by other folks I think.

Here's some pics of those Buddy Club XLs fitted on BC rails.

They are a bastard to fit, although don't foul the door or the centre storage thing.

IMO they are a little too wide for the S. They struggle to fit into the rails and have to be at quite a specific height setting to not clash with the gearbox tunnel.

It's probably the rails at fault. I had to slot the bolts so I could push them out a bit wider in the car. Also had to reinforce the welds on the rails as they snap.

Love them though, one of the top mods for an S2000 is a seat.

:iagree:

I have a spare set of adjustable rails if it is any help with testing the fit of these seats.

Did I read somewhere that HEL are based in Devon? If so, and there hasn't been a test fit in a standard S2000 yet, I'd offer my car as a guinea pig, I'm only in Somerset, so just a short blast down the M5/A303 :)

Hi all, sorry I've not re-visited this thread for a long time, my apologies. I think in short we were a little hasty saying it'd 100% fit in an S2000 road car, although I'm still convinced it would be no issue.

Short of the matter is we're so busy right now to be able to arrange/sort for someone to be a guinea pig, and because its a specially made seat, its a very expensive venture doing this if it was then found it didnt fit.

If you did sort out fitting I would be interested in a pair but without the red trim.
