I kinda bit the bullet and said screw it, but you do have other options you can lower it and keep the shock it just wont be as slammed as mine, and you also cant have under the seat as open and will most likely want to run side covers to cover up the shock. It will be rough but the springs on the seat will add a LITTLE bit of help but not a whole lot.
