Cleaned out all the junk under my seat area

Had to fab up a new battery box now it will sit super low almost under the frame a little, Then I need to get a fake oil tank and mount and smash all those wires into it.

what year is this bike? I always loved bobbers and wanted to build one. I have been searching for a shadow and I think i found the right one to go ahead with. I am looking at a 2000 Honda Shadow VLX 600 Deluxe. Is this the same bike you have? Posted Image

this is the look I am going for:

Thats exactly it, Mines an 04 but not much difference you just want to make sure its a single carb not dual. I have learned a ton about how to get that look you want those are all the bikes that I looked at and got my inspiration, Mine is as low as that I bought the hard tail strut from that guy actually. Check craigslist you can find a few. If you bite the bullet and have any questions be more than happy to help first time with really working on bikes but love it.

Mines sitting like this now, mounted the batt box and mocked up for a fake oil tank where im going to store wires and electronics. I bought 4" pvc before I bought a 4.5" metal oil tank to make sure it would work out.

Hopefully have my tank back today its been gone for over two months and im running out of time before spring, it still needs to go out for paint :feint:

More than happy to man, you welcome to even see mine if need reference, I have found a lot of places to buy stuff guys to build stuff and so on. I actually started talking to a guy who used to work for west coast customs that will tig weld custom bars to your specs for about 100$ which is really cheap for custom work.

You can try and get them down on the prices, I got mine for a really good deal 04 4k for $2000

First thing your gonna do is GUT the bike lol, I ditched a ton of stuff. Your also so you know your going to have to hardtail it to get that slammed look in the rear which means no more rear suspension. You can lower the rear and keep the shock but will not be as low as mine and the ones you posted. These bikes are a breeze to drive somewhat slow but super fun too. There called cruisers for a reason I guess.

I have never had a bike before. I've ridden them but I have always loved the bobber look.
What do you think the cost would be to transform the bike from stock to a finished product? i dont want to spend more then 8k total on the investment assuming i can get the bike for $2500 or less. i dont want to cheap out on it either....just working within a budget.
