Default December Ride/Member of the Month Award

CONGRATULATIONS REDSUNS2K!!!!!!

December's ROTM award will be given to the best winter beater, so........

If you have a winter beater post it up

Lets have some fun!!!!!

This months Ride of the Month (ROTM)will be open to all who want to enter. ONE EXCEPTION!!!!!!!!!

IF YOU ENTERED LAST MONTH PLEASE DO NOT ENTER AGAIN THIS MONTH....YOU WILL HAVE OTHER CHANCES TO RE-ENTER IN THE NEAR FUTURE!!!!!

PLEASE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:

1. A picture of your car (you can provide up to three pics- exterior, interior, engine bay)
2. Year, color, millage, and any mods that you have performed

If you do not privide a pic or any info about the car you cannot participate in the contest.

For simplicity this month members will only be able to nominate themselves and not another member on the board.

Once we recieve 8 entries or reach the cut off date which is december 16th, the voting will begin

Im trying to keep this as simple as possible, but there will be rules that will be set in place in order to keep it fair and fun
I will be posting all the rules up in a seperate thread and will add or modify them as needed.

Remember- Scott from Ballistic Motorsports and myself "Cafe Assisi" are sponsoring the ROTM and the each month's winner will recieve a Gift cerificate from both of us as well as Certificate of Achievement. Plus all the winners will be entered into the running for the Ride of the Year Award. We may even put together a "New England" calendar with all the winners.

Congradulations to Kenta and Jorgie our last two months winners.

Does anyone in here drive a winter beater like an old beat up civic or pick up truck. It can be anything, the older and more abused the better. I was trying to change things up a bit for the month of December but so far no one has posted. ?????

I would post but my winter "beater" is my S, unfortunately. Though, perhaps I would win by default

I'll be entering again come spring/summer when my mods are done. I'd especially like to enter for June, in case I win and if a calendar is made I can have my birthday month

Here we go..

My winter beater is a 1997 Subaru Impreza 2.2L Automatic.

Description:

I've owned this baby since July 2011 and it's been the best beater I have ever had. I picked it up on craigslist after it was in a accident. I repaired it so it could pass inspections. Cost me 500 for the car and 300 for a new bumper, fender, turn signal, driver side headlight. It has 107,XXX miles on it. I took this baby out during the snow storm we had in October and it just plowed right through everything with bald tires. Yes it may look very beat up but it does the job and I couldn't be happier. The motor is MINT, so I guess that's whats most important.

Mods:

Bald Tires. (3 Different brands!)
Genuine Replica Ebay Bumper.
Genuine Replica Ebay Driver Side Fender.
Ebay Headlight.
Leaking Shocks.
Customized Out of Place Headlight.
JDM Rust Holes.
OEM Dry Rotting 14in Steelies.
Artistic Key Markings.
Acorn Dents.
Scraped Rear Quarter Panel.
LED Check Engine Light Always On.
Rusted and Cracked Catalytic Converter. (Gives it that Deep Raspy Tone.)
Decals given to me when I buy parts for the S.

Future Plans:

Trade it in for 150 dollars towards a BMW 335xi.
