Im ordering a stage 2 brian crower cam, Hondata, and not sure what exhaust exactly. I want a good exhaust to make more power than the standard
as I dont care about noise but performance. Im in sydney and will go check out what liverpool exhaust can offer and dont want to get defected.
I also hear that is illegal to bash out the honey comb in the cat converter, by doung this it will add more horsepower as there are no restrictions.
Any thoughts on this and has anyone done a cam upgrade? Im hoping to get 30hp, I should be happy with it.
Cheers

Mugen intake, j's headers, berk high flow cat (legal on the street unlike testpipe) and a 70mm exhaust with cams tuned on hondata youd be pretty happy but youd also run a nice bill lol.
My car had a similar setup produced 156 rwkws. not sure what it would have dynoed stock buts its noticebly faster than stock.

For what im doing getting the Brian Crower stage 2 cam, does anyone have this?
Also guys does a K & N filter make a difference? Im running my car without the airbox top lid on cold days and it sounds great but suffers in hot days so i put the lid
back on.
Cheers.

So if someone was to look underneath your car they wouldnt know any better.
In regards to intake.....indivdual throttle bodies are the way to go, but they are expensive and supposedly quite hard to set up/ tune. I recon most snorkels would do a good job, but some require you to modify the bonnet to fit, imo though i wouldnt worry to much about intake though unless your just doing it for the noise other wise stick to headers, exhaust, cats and yeah the cam should help.
On another note, get some BC coilover's. and sticky rubber, say.....dunlop star spec's for example, and you will clean up any n/a s2000 with 50 more hp. (hopefully Dr.s2k doesnt read this)

are there many quick N/a hondas around in sydney? I know turbo is the way to go but the reason im not interested is because
im worried the motor might die eventaully killing its life span and it will be hard to sell in the future and especially
good luck getting a trade inn.

there are a few stores in sydney that can get you hondata and mugen exhaust if you wanted them but expect to pay big coin for them brand new.
If you can I suggest you get the j's fx70rs dual ti exhaust
I went 60mm the first time since I was advise that 70mm was too big for my motor and well i did wish i went 70mm in the first place!
u want gains.. 70mm is the way to go as the others have said

I don't want to be the first one on the thread to come across as cynical... but it sounds to me like some of the most valuable advice right now could be that that dropping clutch at the lights is to be done at your own (diff's) peril..
The above advice is top notch and I think a search would find you hundreds of recent threads on s2ki with similar advice, just note that power is only part of what makes these cars as quick as they are... which is why the advice regarding suspension, final drive and tyres is a lot more valuable than your response would imply.
Best of luck I/H/E/Cat/Cam changes either way.

Check out JDMConcept for the J's exhaust. From memory its roughly $1400. They're based here in Sydney. I got a J's intake scoop from them.
Send Leonardy an email, he'll help you out. Great guy too.
Personally I'd go with the 4.56 final drive regarding upgrades. A Kia Sportage diff also fits. I think it's 4.56 or 4.77. Otherwise have a look at GTMotoring.com
Good luck Buddy
