Well the Last Event of the NASA racing season went down at Road Atlanta. The weather was great for the S2000's (cold and dry) about 45 and some small times of sunshine. We ran some ultra sticky Hoosiers A6's and the S Loved it.
Me (Brian) and (Wynn) and (Rob) were all representing with S2000's and put on a great show.

Rob put in his last Rookie race for Honda challenge H1, and did a great job, with 100 starters in the santas toy run, he held his own and made some good progress. That race was wild and one just to survive!

I Raced Time Trial TTC division in my Ap1 Winning 1st place and Setting a New Track Record! 1:38.830
Here is a link of a lap (not the record, but all I ended up with -my mind was not on video, I just left it running in the paddock until the battery was dead)lol

Wynn ran Time Trial TTB division and set a new Record of a 136.565 that unfortunately only held for a few laps, he was just edged out by .25 for a second place finish, but the fastest TT time ever posted by an S2000.

Next year we will be adding Zach to the list. He could not make the December event with school finishing up for him. Not sure but I think the TTD or TTC class is where he will be. He did a couple of TT events this year when he could.

Congrats on getting off your provisional licence, Rob. I don't know many guys that are willing to run wheel to wheel on street tires! Get some stickies on there.

I was looking at the RA1's about an hour ago. Need to order a few sets next month and it looks like I will be running 235-40-17...they don't make a 245. :faint: I wasn't bad as I am used to the RE-11's and know there are still a few seconds left in those tires. I will post the second leg of the race as it was more than 2 laps. I just wanted everyone to see what I saw going through turn one right after the wreck. The next video shows the fun Jeff and I were having....I kept pulling away on the straights to only have him up my tail pipe after a few corners.

i hate i missed this event, those videos all look great.almost have everything to get my car back together as well. and start working soon enough, so mods will be coming soon as well (really looking forward to a wing). really want to make it to atlanta a few times next year but looks like the price has really taken a good increase, so that might have to wait until i have some more money saved. ready to get back on track though.

Sign up now or before 12-31-11 for the events and save $50 on each one. Hit up your sponsor!!! If your doing TT, are you interested in the instructor route? There is a thread on the nasa forums right now about it, it is HILARIOUS!! Makes me want to hitch a ride with one of those guys and see if I can hold my lunch down.

i am thinking about doing the instructor route. save some expense. my problem is budget for entries won't begin building until february. especially since i am looking at a new (to me) DD right now. there are some necessary things before fast mods begin as well, like a transponder and a few maintenance items.

i am currently looking at a similar wing as brian's right now because the price is nice and cheap. but really the bigger the better. size does matter in this instance

Oh yeah, a wing, I should think about that too. Jordan, you have one for sale?

You already have a job lined up for Feb? Fantastic!

well i graduate the 17th, this saturday and start work the 21st. so technically 4 days of freedom, which will mostly be moving. but no complaints from me to start working asap. just want to start some savings before blowing it all on car parts. guess that will be one nice thing about moving back in with the parents for a while.

We run the 255/40/17 Ra1, Im not sure what the H1 requirement is though. There is a 245/40/17 R888, I thought it was R888 or Ra1? And what is the ruling on the NT01, there just a rebadged Ra1. (and dibbs on your old tires)

I would do the Friday Instructor clinic in March at Road Atlanta, thats when Im planning on doing my Comp Licence. I did this last year, and ran the rest of my season for free. But if you dont think you'll like instructing, dont do it. I think Randy (red Gsr) is doing his then.
As for wing, Bigger is only better if it gives you down force without causing to much drag. I think this last race showed when it came down to setting record times. My wing did its Job, and works, but Wynns voltex type7 outshined mine when your carrying so much speed. The Volex type7 Is The best wing. but for about $1400. less, You can own the eBrian Track Nation Record proven Wing. It will do the job. If anyone wants a Proven Muliple Record Holding wing... I will sell mine, with autograph for the low low price of $600.Lol
