I have a plastic window...I put the top about half way then get out and push the window in so it folds on the crease and it doesn't crack...also helps if you let it warm up first

Yeah I do that whole routine even in the summer, but not worth the risk to me in winter.

Yeah i completely understand, when its below 40 degrees i get so paranoid when i drop it. If it breaks then ill have an excuse to spend money on a glass top
