ive had abit of a look around on previous threads but my problem is abit different, basically this is how it works


fill up with a full tank , car registers that its empty on the gauge, fuel light is on

after a couple hundred kms it works registers @ full but i get to about 350-400kms and thats the most ill get out of the tank,

when im near empty it registers as about 1/2 a tank

seems like it has something to do with the float but has ne 1 had this problem? and any ideas on why i get such low kms per tank (this is normal driving)

I've not had that problem before, but the float sounds like a good place to start looking. The fuel mileage is probably on the low-side, but not out of the ordinary. Normal driving for me with Shell V-Power or BP Ultimate (80:20 highway:city), will get me about 450 kays. Hard driving can drop that to 350. On a pure highway cycle, I can get over 600 per tank. Have you suddenly had an increase in fuel consumption?

yeah i was hoping someone has seen something similar before. oh really? i use bp 98 octane fuel, nah its unfortunately been the same since ive had the car

Your fuel consumption doesn't seem overly high, I used to get 10-11L/100km which depending on how low you're running your tank would seem to be similar to what you're getting.

Can't help you with the crazy gauge problem, sorry.

Anyone that gets more than 350km to a tank in their S2K will always amaze me... I manage about 200km max

Your fuel consumption doesn't seem terribly high at all. I'll do about 350-450km depending on how I drive obviously.

The only time I have the revs below 6000 are when I accelerate out of the pits - so I think it's fine. Much better fuel economy than my old MKIV TT Supra!

i dont mean 2 be rude but the fuel consumption issue has been answered and covered thanks! if anyone has info on ideas in reguards to the fuel gauge and this thread kept on topic, that would be very much appreicated
