I haven't even loaded my pics off my camera yet. Hoping to get a chance tonight.

But yeah a sunrise drive would be the best. I think the views woud be spectacular and less traffic will make it a little safer. It puts me on edge when I'm stuck behind 2 slow ass 4x4's. As immature as it is, all I think about it "whens the next chance to over take?" and no doubt one day it'll be on a straight where there is po-po or a cow in the way.

Thanks for the drive XOZ and thanks for the first lead Mike :)

Should we make a call next time before each drive that those more into the "spirited" driving get to the front of the pack as well? Doesn't mean we go racing like lunatics obviously, just gives those who are into the different aspects of the drive to get the most out of their day whichever way they choose.

Good call Do, apologies for assuming auto lead, the pack always sorts itself out very early in the drive. At least this is what i always observe from out the tail end.
Spirited sensible drivers jumping to the lead sort of happens auto matically. But its always ESSENTIAL to have read the route/ directions before hand that are always posted.

Im in for a sunrise return run with breakfast 4sure!!!

slow cruise comin up boys hahaha!!! its just sssoooo traditional that you lead the pack !!! :argh: :argh: me leading is like saying chalk with cheese

You do realise that happens a lot because I've organised a lot of the cruises and the tradition is for the organiser to lead the cruise?

Anyway, like I said, it was no big deal Robin, but a bit of courtesy - even via a text message the day before - would have been appreciated.

alls sweet Mike  where's Do's pics of 2day.?

hey hey, c'mon ladies, no need for this bickerin nonsense :p

Yeh, I heard about that and saw that clip. Apparently it started with an incident in an earlier run.

I had the (ex-)missus' mum come visit once, when I was living in the 'Berra. We walked back to the car from a nearby market and all of the bevans on the way yelled out, "SHOW US YOUR TITS!" to her... and her mum! I told them to f_ck off...

(but on the inside, I was crackin' up :D)

This should be a good run, although there's a lot to live up to if you want to associate via name with "Wake the Dragon" runs ;) That piece of road in the states looks awesome.

To add to this discussion, found this interesting info, for this April event; "WTDX 2012 (Wake the Dragon 2012), our 10th annual Spring Honda S2000 event on the famous Dragon!
318 curves in 11 miles and plenty of opportunity to socialize with other S2000 enthusiasts. Located in the beautiful mountains of NC/TN."

Care to count number of curves for us Ninelarge.? I wonder whom had the job in the USA.?

Also note that, Chinese New Year Celebrations begin on the 23/1/2012. This is the first of 15 days of celebration and the start of the Year of the Dragon. So our 22/1/2012 will actually mark the "Entering" of ETDX 2012. To quote,"the Year of the Dragon will be marked by excitement, unpredictability, exhilaration and intensity."

looking forward to this, all welcome, so please register your interest!!! as bookings for lunch will be made by the 8/1.

"Enter the Dragon" was by far TAME in comparison, check the video if you haven't already seen it from the Gallery. Using the key word "Enter" is like training wheels  in comparison to "Tail"
