This thread has been re dubbed forum poster humiliating himself.

I love my S, but also love Supras. I kind of feel embarrassed for the dudes in here that feel the need to knock the Supra on handling just to feel better about their car. You guys must be the same dudes who tell yourself that your S can get you girls (even though you're a 29-yr old virgin) whereas the STi/Evo that just whooped you can only attract dudes. Supras can be potent at the road course, just as S2000s can be made to do 8 sec 1/4 mile runs. It all comes down to your goals and budget. I guarantee you the CFT S2000 cannot handle for shit the way it's purpose-built.

Although I do have to agree... drag racing/freeway races are retarded. One trick ponies. Yawn. It's always funny watching drag racers trying to drive around a corner.
This makes me lol especially when the homos in automatic srt8s talk shit when they essentially can be replaced by a brick and a stick to wedge the steering wheel....

I bet the Supra is awful to drive on anything other than a straight line.
some random Motor Trend numbers:
Supra
200' Lateral G: 0.94g
600' Slalom: 68.9mph

S2000
200' Lateral G: 0.90g
600' Slalom: 68.6mph

Now, this is not saying or suggesting the Supra handles better than the S2000... but the Supra isn't an awful car to drive around a corner. Compared to a S2000... absolutely more sluggish, but it's certainly not horrific. Unless, of course, you're a fanboi.

You have missed the point entirely. Those figures backup my comment beautifully. 400 extra horsepower makes the car a very challenging car to drive. Heavy clutches, turbos pushing wads of power in very short spaces of time mean you spend a lot of time trying to wrestle the car into shape rather than having extremely usable power.

Part of the allure the supercharged s2k's have, is not just their reliability and progressive power delivery, but their usability. I imagine you could daily the s2k with very few side effects byre running cost. The supra on the other hand, would be very different.

I'm all for very powerful cars and they're great to see. But the cost is high and the volume of time that you can enjoy that outlay reduces considerably with cars like that supra. The s2k on the other hand, is a very usable car which means the initial outlay to get it to spec is actually more cost efficient.

dude in the supra is just toying with the s2k. kinda lame if you ask me. i dont go around finding little b16 hatches to run 4-5 times over and over again in a straight HP race. someone needed and ego "boost" for sure.
