You have missed the point entirely. Those figures backup my comment beautifully. 400 extra horsepower makes the car a very challenging car to drive. Heavy clutches, turbos pushing wads of power in very short spaces of time mean you spend a lot of time trying to wrestle the car into shape rather than having extremely usable power.

Part of the allure the supercharged s2k's have, is not just their reliability and progressive power delivery, but their usability. I imagine you could daily the s2k with very few side effects byre running cost. The supra on the other hand, would be very different.

I'm all for very powerful cars and they're great to see. But the cost is high and the volume of time that you can enjoy that outlay reduces considerably with cars like that supra. The s2k on the other hand, is a very usable car which means the initial outlay to get it to spec is actually more cost efficient.

I have to agree, I have a really hard time driving my car hard at 550 HP other than straight line, thats why I havent driven the car on Q16 at 610 yet. The car goes from making ZERO trq to 400ft lbs in seconds, it's impossible to use that around a track. I don't mind because I like the highway pulls/drag racing, but if I were to road race my S, I would probably just do ITBs and a really nice exhaust for sound .

Supras are badass, but everyone knows how much power they can make, I pull on Porsches/ Z06s and they are literally in shock, lol. A lot of them give me a ton of respect (some get pissed off, lol) it's like David vs Goliath. I would rather have an S2000 at 600 HP, as opposed to a Supra at 1,000HP, but different strokes for different folks blah blah

Having ridden in a 1000 whp supra. I can definitely say... i don't see how that f@#king power is usable ANYWHERE but on a highway. You couldn't use that power in daily traffic, you couldn't use it on a road that isn't 3 lanes wide (just in case) and you couldn't use it at low speeds.

When the power hits, it's like warp drive.

Also where is the obligatory link to the Puerto Rican S2000 running 7's now? Also the video of it racing the 2jz s2000 and straight beating it's ass.
