hello, its been a few years now since ive sold the s2000. ive been toying with the idea of getting back into one for a little bit now and would like to know more about the ap2.
i owned a 01 before, and from the reading and research, there seems to be a few changes to the 2 models.
would it be true to say that i need to look at 2005 and after?
there are currently 3 2005 and after s2000's on carsales, with prices around the high $40s. unfortunately, they are all located interstate.

i pretty much know how great the car was, having owned one for about 7 years, selling it was regretful, and thats why i would love to get back into one, it was an awesome drive.
what im after is information regarding the ap2, i know that they sold, very few in the last few years, most have probably been bought and are used solely as weekend cars.
cheers for info

Hey blacks2k, i think i remember you from way back, its great to read your wetting your toes a bit in another S 2000 Ap2. I went through the same in early 09. Got lucky with MY06. Back then it had a mere 8800 kms. I love the fact that from 06 changes as in DBW etc. tho some will disagree
I have been toying with an update idea for awhile now, but can't quite justify it totally yet. So much so that I posted up a stats search mission to see if there are any MY08 + models are out there. Theory is, that MY08 leases will be coming up soon (48mths).

Overall there arent alot if MY05+ members on Aus S2ki. But if you look at the thread this is where my stats search has got to for now, more input would be interesting as there are others whom are interested in getting into an AP2 at least. From what feedback I'm reading.

15 x MY08/09's sold in Australia

last known location:

1x MY08 CHICHANE SA
2X MY08's CHICHANE, BERMUDA BLUE WA
1x MY08 APEX BLUE VIC
1x MY08 NFR QLD
4X MY08's NFR, GPW, BB, CHICHANE, NSW
1x MY09 CHICHANE Gold Coast QLD.

Total 10 last accounted for, therefore 5 MY08/09's still somewhere.

glw your interest..

That Apex blue was hot. Too bad it recently sold...
My soul is from elsewhere, I’m sure of that, and I intend to end up there.

You will appreciate the differences between AP1 and AP2 06+ models. I remember buying the amuse off you when you had the yellow ap1.

I recently changed up to an 07 model it's was a great move, now I can continue the fun.

since i sold the s2k, i had an evo9 for a few years and now have a mk6 golf gti. the gti is pretty nice, really refined, and very quick, but nowhere near as fun to drive as the s2k was.
i think ill keep checking carsales and see what pops up locally, ie in nsw.
