Hey guys I'm in the market for some headers, though im not sure where to get them from and at the best price, ideally I'd love a secondhand one but realise it's all about timing although if there is somewhere where they pop up all the time could you point me in the right direction. As for what brands I'm after, I'm open to suggestion but I've been keen on the toda tourqie kun or j's racing. Any help would be great.

Hey mate thanks for that. I contacted him and he got back to me with a pretty good price but I found toda Australia in thornleigh gave me the best price of $1350 for the torquie kun headers which I couldn't believe and Someone else has offered me a deal but we haven't sorted it out yet So either way I'm going to go with one of those 2

Toda Australia are doing a really good price on these. You'd be hard pressed to get a better price anywhere else. I have J's headers on my car, but if I were doing it again I would get the 'tourqie kun' given the price.

Forget about the price, if your going to do somthing than do it right. Is there really much difference between the two besides price?

what are the differences between j s Header and Toda Tourqie Kun? I have been google searching on Toda T Kun and there is no info on exact gains just
talks about mid range.

search harder ;)

j's and toda have similar gains and there are dyno graphs on there to show it.
the tourqie kun suppose to be an improvement of the toda headers so more gains over the old toda headers.

Tri-y design. 45mm primaries, 50mm secondaries, tapering to a 50-60mm collector. Toda took their standard manifold, and improved on it with this "race" version. Compared to the good gains already seen from the standard version, this one makes a couple more peak hp, with a fuller power, and torque curve through out the power band.

Keep in mind the the new toda was developed for the 2.2 engine aswell. J's and toda are both very good I have had both I doubt anyone could be able to notice gains over another as they both provide solid gains especially with test pipe and a tune.

Is toda still offering that price for the toda header? I thought it was only for the group buy he had going.

Na mate I emailed him last week and that was the price i was given when he got back to me.its 2-3 weeks waiting/delivery time for it to arrive at the workshop. We could try a GB if we had enough interest, mind you it seems a pretty good price to begin with

I also got a quote from toda for tuning and that was $800 for a dyno tune (you supply ECU)
Or $1500 supply fit & tune Haltech Platinum interceptor. (Piggyback)

Just wanted to let you guys know I ended up purchasing some j's headers a month or 2 ago now off a member from here and had them installed yesterday. The gain is reasonably noticeable throughout the rev range and has lost alot of that sluggish feeling down low in the rev range which is rather pleasing,if anyone is wondering it cost $150 for the install of the headers and it was done at castle hill performance who were really friendly and would recommend for any locals. Getting these guys to install it rather than me seemed a good investment considering some of the stories I've been told about trying to install these things and now completes my exhaust system. Next thing now is to get my greddy emanage tuned for a few extra KW's and then I'm done in that department.

It was Mads old greddy that I bought with harness and all.It was a bit of a spur of the moment thing but Ive read aem are expensive and complicated to tune also I don't think I would have found a aem for $400 complete

yeh true that.

Brad was selling his AEM for 500$ complete but i didn't have funds to buy at the time since its going towards a new exhaust.

Can't wait to see how ya car performs once you've tuned it and all :)

I bought it a little while ago and it was before brad was selling his so I wasn't to know, I'm keen as well to see how it goes, I've contacted touge tune via email and I'm waiting for them to get back to me and then il go from there.once I'm done there I can have my hardtop, ap2 bumper+ front lip, gp sports sideskirts, door caps and rear spats sprayed and fitted and then all I have left are ap2 headlights to match the rear lights
