Yep, 105 static, about as generous as you get on mainstream trackdays these days.

This is my birthday and I would love it to be my first track day. I'm thinking of upgrading the OEM exhaust but don't want anything that limits what days I can attend. Is Oulton a good first choice for a first track day? Gotta pop that cherry sooner or later... :D

Funny you'd say that as it was meant to be my first in my last car but didnt work out.

Just looked at some youtube videos, it looks like a mini nurburgring!

Any circuit is fine for a first trackday!

There's always lots of debate over going to novice days and places where there is loads of runoff but it's still the same guy behind the wheel and that's what will determine how the day goes!

Keep your head about you, remember that you are there for fun and not to prove anything and get some instruction, you'll be fine

Oulton Park is my (very) local circuit, its an excellent track, complex in certain places, its usually the last corner some people have trouble with as it can be deceptive. It doesnt matter whether it is the long or the short circuit, you will have great fun. Im looking forward to doing what I do best, (spectate) but also as it seems a lot of S2ki members are going, Im looking forward to having a chat with everyone :)

I'm confident in my skills and abilities. I also know when im out my comfort zone and when to back off. I think I'm a good driver but not Schumi/Senna etc. The right attitude is everything right?

Just need to make sure I have my geo done by then or it's pointless as I can feel its not quite right and I don't want to push without confidence.

Motoring is my life so I will definitely be there if even to spectate, no excuse as Oulton is so close to me. Some might say its a sad way to spend a birthday, I say its the best! Smell of octane, lots of cars to admire and members to meet. What more could one want?

Exactly, take it easy, dont rush yourself, and have a great time out on track. Im sure you'll love it, and I agree, it is a great way to spend a birthday :)

I wish I could make this - OP is 2 miles from my house - spent many a day there driving our go-kart around the in-field when I was about 10.
I can also recommend The Swan in Tarporley if you are looking for somewhere to stay/eat. No, I don't own it, but I wish I did.

Has anyone booked a garage for this event?

I have just emailed Steve to see if there are any left, if someone does have one booked and if there aren't any left would it be possible for me to be cheeky and ask to store some spare wheels and a jack?

I'll be popping down but just as a spectator. Hoping for a dry day so I'll be in the S.

As said the swan is the place to stay / eat in tarporley.

Ive just thought that if some people are planning to go to The Swan, the car park can be a little difficult to get to. Its around the back, but it can be easy to miss the entrance. I would be more than happy to lead a convoy to the said pub along with members who also know the area well :)

Is there a confirmed list of which members are going?

I might book the day off and come down with my camera.
