On Weksos Industries website, all the combo deals they have include a 'short hub', is there a regular size hub that can be combined with a quick release? If so, that might be enough to bring the steering wheel closer to me.

Also, can a regular hub work with any quick release or the hub must be a version that will accept the quick release?

OP, is your $2-300 budget for the whole package or just the wheel? I carry OMP, Sparco, Nardi/Personal, MOMO, NRG and some others.

Do you carry this? If so, is this attached to the steering wheel itself or the dash side of the steering?

FWIW, I bought my MOMO steering wheel, NRG version 2.5 quick release, NRG hub, and NRG lock from Weksos Industries for $400 shipped. If I were you, I would check out their site for current steering wheel packages, and you might find yourself a very good deal as well.

Thanks for the headsup. They do have some nice deals there!

But don't you think putting a short hub + quick release + steering wheel will sit closer to me than OEM?

No, it's actually proven that a short hub, quick release, and regular flat spoke steering wheel will sit just as far as the OEM wheel does. The only way, like I said, is to get a deep spoke style steering wheel to bring it closer you about an inch with the same setup.

A works bell hub, decreases the distance between you and the steering wheel in itself, but also is pretty pricey.

It was hard to find a deep dish in 320mm or 330mm but I think I found one. Thanks for the headsup!

Yeap, I read about that. Unless there is another way to bring the steering wheel closer, I'll just have to deal with it. I'm sure its gonna be one of those things that you just have to get use to.

I ended up getting a Momo Mod Drift Style 330mm, NRG 2.0 quick release, and NRG short hub.

The intallation wasn't as straight forward as everyone claims it to be. First off no instructions were included in any of the items I bought. I had extra pieces that I was trying to figure out where it would go. Took me hours! At the end, that's exactly what they were, EXTRA pieces! :feint: It drove me crazy trying to figure out what they were! Also, there were no instruction how to wire up the horn button since the short hub isn't connected at anything at the back end of it... but f@#k it, I haven't used my horn since 2008.

Finally, what do you guys do with that big gapping hole on the steering column? :surprised:

SRS light still came on despite plugging the resistor that John gave me. I don't mind the SRS light, to be honest. Its not as annoying as the Check Engine Light.

looks great ray. Dont forget you can always sell your oem wheel, air bag,etc to offset some, if not all, of the cost of your setup.
