We are now one of the official dealer for Powerflex bush, I guess most of you know what it is but here is just a small info for someone want more info about the products -

Polyurethane has been with us as a specialised plastic for some thirty years. However recent advances have now made it possible to engineer very special properties into this exciting material. Suspension bushes are some of the most highly stressed components fitted to a motor car. They undergo enormous strains and in the most arduous of conditions with no maintenance or lubrication.

The material they are manufactured from is a rubber compound containing natural products which deteriorate with age. It becomes softer and more pliable, resisting the forces placed on it less and less. Therefore allowing more and more movement of suspension components and offering less and less control over the suspension geometry.

This in turn causes accelerated tyre wear, braking instability and poor handling. This is the single biggest reason you can instantly tell the difference driving a three year old car compared to a showroom new one. However even new cars will benefit from POWERFLEX bushes because of their superior design they offer much more effective control of the suspension components to a much greater extent than normal rubber items.

With the technological advances in this material it has been possible to overcome the common problem associated with harder bushes which is increased noise. By correctly engineering the polyurethane compound, bushes can be made 25-30% stiffer than new rubber items but with exactly the same noise absorbing properties. POWERFLEX bushes make sense.

POWERFLEX for prolonged tyre life.
POWERFLEX for improved performance.
POWERFLEX for increased safety.

More info about the Compliance bushes for the S2000

Honda S2000 Front Lower Arm Rear Compliance Bush and Eccentric Caster Adjustment Kit

The front lower arm rear complaince bush on the S2000 is now a common bush to fail. The rubber bonding fails causing a lot of geometry change as the bush allows too much movement.

With the introduction of PFF25-203 we have vastly improved the performance and reliability.

The design features a dual rate polyurethane ball operating in a polyurethane race encased in a zinc plated outer shell. The centre of the bush is stainless steel.

The principle advantage of this special design is that the radial compliance rate can be high and therefore geometry control is enhanced greatly. But with almost friction free operation as the suspension moves. Like a uniball but better.

In addition to the bush we have also manufactured an eccentric mounting kit PFF25-203G to go with the bush. The kit features a stainless steel eccentric centre location pin and a 10.8 spec. high tensile zinc plated mounting bolt. It is almost impossible to remove this bush without detroying the Honda eccentric part because it rusts into the bush, so this stainless steel kit solves that issue as well, and all for the same price as the Honda part.

Hi Dixon,

Without taking me ages to look at all that and figure it all out. How much would it cost me for all the bushes apart from compliance bush? (just got the mugen ones). Just the bushes, no bolts or anything. I'm not certain which bolts I'll need until I do the job. My car is a 2003 by the way.

Cheers,

Chad.

For 2003 car without Compliance bush and compliance fitting kit it will be £371.8 inc VAT and that is with the polybush suspension bushes. Shipping will be £12

with the bolts you really need to put the car up the ramp and check each of them,.

Thanks for that. I did check the bolts a while ago to see which ones are seized etc. But didn't dare use to much force on them due to needing to put it all back together. When it comes time to do the job, I'll give it a bit of stick and see what happens. For any bolts I need, how long would it take from me ordering them, to getting them delivered? I'm guessing just a couple of days?

Many thanks,

Chad.

Received the first set today, look at the quality is unbelievably good!

The Caster adjuster bolt and sleeve is well engineered and the bush have such smooth and solid movement, it gives the perfect compliance on the suspension arm with this kit and to have the feel to what Spherical Bearing would feel like.

Dixon how would you rate the Polyflex compliance compared to the Mugen alternative? Do you think the Polyflex could wear out quicker due to the two moving parts its engineered with?
HONDA S2000: 2003, Imola Orange Pearl, JDM '04 engine, ACT Clutch, Rev2 Wheels - Much more to come!!!

Powerflex one comes with Life time guarantee, Mugen one is just Honda OEM bush.

So far only Powerflex and Hardrace have true compliance bush with a perfect pivot movement only different is Powerflex one made by Rubber and Hardrace one is Spherical bearing.

Powerflex has a lifetime guarentee even on this compliance bush? That is very impressive....

I can also see, if the bush has a rubber inside how compliance has been engineered in - thanks Dixon, more food for thought for me. I will be in contact soon about the work, I just need to work out weather I am going to go the full rebush or just replace my seized bushes.

Yes lifetime warrantee on the compliance bush from powerflex. It really a great piece engineered product, they have spent alot of time to make this right and cleverly combine the benefit of having spherical bearing like performance but also to keep the comfort and long life together(longer than oem/mugen as it is lifetime warrantee).

Hi Dixon,

Can I just send a payment to you for a set of bushes or do I have to do it through the online shop bit? As I said above, I don't need any nuts, bolts or cams. I don't need the compliance bushes or their fitting kit either. If you can put this all together for a 2003 car, can you let me know the full price including any discounts and delivery etc and I'll forward a payment on to you. (Need your address to send it to, is paypal ok? Or would you rather something else?)

Many thanks,

Chad.
