I bought a soft top from him and he told me it was in IMMACULATE condition

My own fault that I didn't get around to installing it till after the 45 day paypal dispute timeframe (eventhough I don't think this type of transaction matters and I opened a irrelevant dispute just for kicks). I did pay with AMEX CC via paypal though so if anyone know if AMEX can help me out, please let me know. During installation I really got to inspect it (my fault too since I really should have inspected it once I got it but I trusted this very helpful and thorough. Or at least he sounded like one. I don't think it would have mattered anyways. Not like he is going to make do after taking my money.

Seller said the soft top was in 'immaculate' condition. And he said the areas where the soft top normally wears is in mint condition with no holes. Well, it has worn through one of the two layers of the cloth. Also, the pair of elastic bands that make the soft top fold down correctly is completely not there. There is also one broken latch and two of the three soft top beams across the top is dinged/dented making two areas of the soft top sag down after it was mounted and top was closed. These dented beams affect the alignment of the soft top when installed. I have to give it a little nudge to one side before locking latch. Lastly, the flap between the middle and rear beams were unvelcroed and velcrod back up improperly. So it sags down too. The seller obviously knew something was wrong with the bows since it looks like the flap was unvelcrod to inspect the bows.

I've tried to e-mail him twice for him to do good and I even told him I'll post negative feedback on here too. He sounds like a standup guy and was very helpful with shipping but won't return my e-mails. Oh well. We can solve this buy coming to an agreement of part refund. As the soft top is still usable but the bows are fubar.

I sold my almost brand new black top for his blue one because I really want a blue top and he said it was immaculate. My loss. Should have kep that true immaculate black top.
