Got this camera as a present. Looks easy, point and shoot type camera. No comparison to what the rest of you use, but should have some fun with it.

How do you like the camera? How is the built-in GPS functionality?

I have not tested the GPS function yet. Not sure what the point of it is.

GPS allows the camera to automatically add location information to the photos metadata (EXIF). This allows sites to show photos by area.

For instance, if I wanted to find photos near Wascana Park, I can search on flickr. I find it neat for when I travel. If I'm in a random location and take a picture, I might forget where I took it. With GPS data, I can check a map and know.

The camera did well with those snow photos. It's common for cameras to underexpose photos with snow thereby making them too dark.

dwight, thanks for the info on GPS. I didn't understand the concept of it. I need to read the manual and learn the features.

I only know how to take snap photos, with no eye or concept of photography. Thanks for noting the snow pics looked ok.
