Whats the difference between 06 and and 08 or 09>Suspension? I thought it was all the same.
I tried going to TireRack web site and inputed my model and year, and choose suspension section--> and PSS9 is not shown. However, I choosed for example....00-06 as the year, the choices will come up for me to ad PSS9 to my cart.
Im looking into upgrading my 2008 AP2 BB. I really wanted this suspension, I will be using it as my daily and I like the reviews people's been given this suspension. Please let me know if I can fit this in my car. According to their website is only good until 2006 model.
Thank you in advance for you guys help.

Get KW v3. Much better suspension. Resivoirs front and rear, double adjustable compression and rebound, lifetime warranty. I got mine for just under 2 grand shipped. That bilstein is a nice kit... but s2k stock suspension is pretty damn good to waste your money on those.

How is it ride as a daily driver compared to the AP2 stock suspension in your opinion? But I'm still curious about the fitment of the PSS9.

Rides amazing on the street. Pot holes, broken road and all. Better than stock IMO. The resivoirs help the shock run a soft spring rate, because the oil can react to major pressure changes with such a great force that stiff spring rates are not needed. All stock s2000 rear shocks have resivoirs, KW has them front and rear.
To answer your question im pretty sure all s2000 suspension is interchangeable. So im sure either will fit in your 08.

I know, thats what I been hearing from all the PSS9 user. If I can get the KW v.3 for $1800 shipped that won't be too bad. I think the PSS9 run around $1300 shipped, right?

Wanted something more practical. I didn't like not have a soft top. Plus, the one I previously owned was a deleted model and I wanted something with A/C and a radio. But I think my biggest gripe was the soft top. Other than that, it was one of the best handling car I've owned.
As for the suspension, still deciding. Thinking about just going with --> Eibach Pro-Kit lowering spring set, for $230. Keeping my OEM shocks.

Your GPW ap1 is prob the best handling thing you ever owned. We all know its ap1 > all
Keep the ap2 stock.. the stock suspension is better than lowering springs. If you still want I have a set of tanabe lowering springs i can sell you for $100.

That is the best suspension you can go with. OEM shocks are already great and all they need is just a little lower and stiffer. That is what the Eibach pro kit provides. I have been looking into it and coils are over kill IMHO. Keep in mind that the S was engineered to be as fun on the road as it is on the track. We were even talking about this at the Smashburger meet and the Guru of all S2000 even agrees. If it has Billman's best option approval then that is probably your best bet. And this way is your cheapest option.
As for ap1 or ap2. The ap2 suspension was improved from the ap1.

Sounds like I made my decision. I will go with Eibach Pro-Kit lowering spring set. Thank you and everyone else's help on this one.

Stock shocks and Eibach springs are as good as it gets on street tires if you want a GREAT ride, GREAT handling, and a lower stance.
I have driven AP1 and AP2 on the street and on the track with this setup. it is gold. Stock shock rates are perfect.
IF you track, and are driving so fast that you are 4-wheel drifting your corners, then its time for R-compound tires.
At this point, the traction of the R-comps will start overcoming the stock suspension. NOW its time to start looking for a full coilover setup. and you'll also be looking to reinforce your front upper a-arm mounts. Honda built the stock suspension to withstand any demand thrown at it. ON STREET TIRES.
The FACT IS...the stock suspension cannot be overcome by the bite of street tires, and a full coilover setup is not necessary, and overkill. IMHO, it ruins the handling completely.

Thanks for the great info. Will be picking this up in a week. Do you do spring install?

Interesting. I agree stock suspension is one of the BEST out there on an s2000 and as I wrote above in this thread to the OP he should leave it stock before he buys the pss9.
But when you say "street tires" do u mean all street tire sizes. For example stock 205/225 ("235" technically on 225 potenza s02) versus a 225/255 grippy tire setup. I have had stock suspension on my first s2000, stock with tanabe lowering springs on this one, and KW v3 coilovers currently.
The KW are AMAZING. I have never tracked them yet, but I do like to have a little fun with my tail on the street... and I simply LOVE them. The car holds high speed thru turns and the double adjustable compression/rebound feeling is amazing. Also, the suspension resivoirs on all 4 corners helps on bumpy street roads.
Would you classify suspension setups like KW V3 and moton Club sport in your generalization that stock is the best for the street? (Money not being a factor)
