As said in the title I am looking to purchase either mase's or ptunings kit if I dont piece together my own. Regardless, does anyone know any tuners in nj who are proven and work with s2k's on a constant bases?

Take the ride to mt bethel, PA and go see Jeff Evans. Arguably the best tuner in this area, and he's been nothing but great on each one of my cars

Thanks guys Ill give him a call.

What kind of kits does he offer bcause I was going to go with mase's or ptunings kit. What do you guys suggest as far as quality and performance. Any opinions would be appreciated.

There are 3 Ptuning guys around here myself included. I dont think anyone has a mase kit here. Evans doesnt offer neither kit so you'll have to buy it from the company of your choice then install it yourself or have Minitoyota (thats his s2ki ID, also named Jeff) install it then have Evans tune it. Great thing is that minitoyota works out of Evans shop now so you can drop it off your car and pick it up on your tune date.

I plan to go with the P-tuning kit myself when I turbo the car. I have gotten a ride with someone who had it and jeff evanes tuned it and I was sold. Plus, P-tuning seems to have really good customer serice from what I have been hearing from alot of people. Alot of people with the mase turbo kit are having trouble reaching the guy for mase.

What do you guys think about p tuning kits vs a custom built kit using a borg warner turbo? Realistically I am looking for around 450 whp. The car will not be a dd and will most likely be taken out only on nice days ect....

Ptuning kit seems be really good! No personal experience though. Lots of happy owners in the FI section.

Hitting 450whp is pretty easy on this motor. They are also very reliable at that power level, but you should have no problem hitting that goal with a decent sized turbo.

Jeff for the install and Jeff Evans for the tune. You can't go wrong with that combo.
