Just got a free Bosch filter with the purchase of oil. Glad to see it as one that is better built.

Bosch is the best oil filter you can buy at an auto parts store, and one of the cheapest ~$5. Been using them for years.
Some guy on the MR2 forums did this same experiment a few years ago, but he actually pulled the filter element out of each one so you could see how much was in there. The Bosch was almost identical to the TRD which cost 3x as much.

K&N & mobil 1 are a frickin rip off at $10 a piece

great read! this has been done a few times by members on supraforums too with other oil filters

it was a toyota forum so no "honduh" filters were tested lol..
I'd imagine toyota/ TRD is just as good as Honda OEM though, at least in regards to oil filters. So Bosch would be pretty close to Honda.

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever had a problem with the Honda PCX filter or any other filters?

i believe billman did a similar test. he goes with the OEM honda filters, if i remember correctly.

good stuff. i have always used purolator brand filters and have never had a problem. $4 at pep boys.
