Just curious if anyone else has a GoPro? I bought an HD Hero 2 the other day and I'm going to make a mount that utilizes the factory tow hook. I am just curious if anyone else is interested in this as I will make some mounts for others. You will need to supply your own GoPro mounting Pad though. I plan on getting some urethane bushings so that it is completely solid, but free of vibrations. Should provide some excellent video from the S2000.

I'll probably buy the stuff to make 5 or so and then you can buy one off me for materials + like 10 bucks. Shouldn't be too much though. I'm going to make them out of aluminum and stainless so they don't rust. I'm also going to buy some aircraft wire to make little clip on lanyards so that if for some reason the sticky pad fails (which it shouldn't) the camera will be caught by the lanyard and not eat it. lol

Sounds like a good idea
We have been using a helmet mount on the lower lip below the grill, two sided tape and some zip ties as a back up.
Here is a link to what the videos will look like...

Awesome! My GoPro came in the mail today so now I'm even more motivated to finish my car! lol. I have everything to make the mounts. I'm guessing I'll sell them for 20-25$ for those interested. I still have to figure out my costs per mount. I'm not too worried about fab time, because it's just a little cutting and grinding.

Awesome, those look great. Your GoPro version is pretty much what I'm going to make except it will have a few extra features. Rubber to insulate it from any constant vibrations and a braided steel tether just in case the GoPro Mount fails.

Sweet, yeah I wasn't planning on making them for profit or anything, just to help other GoPro owners out. :) I have all the supplies purchased and I plan on making mine out of 1/8" Aluminum.
