check engine light

I have a 2000 w/ 30,000 and the check engine light has come on. No problem w the gas cap (as manual suggested) any ideas or suggestions?

Go to autozone and they will scan it and give you a code for free.

Or you can buy an obd II scanner for like $40 and do it yourself.
