I am after a set of mats for my S, the ones that came with it looked very sad and were taken down the tip the day after I got it home. Looking around there are a million aftermarket sets on eBay but you take a chance with the quality. I can't justify forking out £160 for Honda ones, can't quite believe they charge that much?!?!?!

So wondered if anyone could reccomend a particular seller or shop where you have got a decent set of tailored mats??

Cheers

Si

Honda ones are the best I'm afraid (the 4 piece set, rather than the crap 2 piece set)

Thanks for the pointers,

lovegroova - they look smart but then it's only another £20 and I could get the genuine Honda ones.

bassoctopus - may have to save up and get some through Hendy then :(

Why are the mats for the S such stupid money. I need some new ones, but I just can't bring myself to part with that kind of money.

I have owned many many cars and never have I come across such expensive mats, sadly it doesn't seem that there are many options.

on my Daily driver, seeing as though they'll get covered in sh*te all year round, no point for £150 mats! Those are for the garage queens... some nice copycats ones for £30 on fleabay, being a skinter i'll be opting for those

They're very easy to clean and aren't soft fabric like normal ones though

I'm lucky enough to have inherited the original Honda ones when I bought my car, and it has to be said that they hold up to all the crap I give them as my daily driver. Very hard wearing and easy to clean. Looped carpet, not tufted makes a difference IMO.

I'm in the same boat. Need them but the prices stink. I'd be annoyed paying £60 let alone a hundred more.

Got mine brand new off ebay for 70 quid a couple of years back - almost NO wear 2 years and 24,000 miles later.
Yes this is the space where a signature should be and no, this is not a signature.

Why you do not want to order ANY of your S2000 parts from ANY UK Honda Dealer

In my first S2000 I had original Honda 2-part mats. They moved.

I replaced them with Muz mats. Better - covered the crossmembers, felt better. Still moved occasionally.

Having recently bought my second S2000, I have treated it to the Honda 4-part mats. Perfect fitment. No movement at all on a long spirited drive on Sunday. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? To me - yes.

Before anyone dismisses the Honda 4 part mats based on cost alone, I'd suggest checking them out when fitted to an S2000. See what you think - most owners are likely to not mind another owner sitting in to see how they find the mats.

-Brian.

I have the Hendy ones on my DD and they wear bloody well. Worth the extra in my opinion.

I have Muz mats in mine, seem to do the job, better than the original cheap Honda ones anyway, but agree that the 4 piece ones are the daddy!

From what I remember the JDM style mats are a similar price for the EP3 and DC5 too so its seems to be the going rate. I had the UK spec mats and the carpet my cross members got ruined getting in and out, especially on the passenger side where people weren't careful like I am.

My current S has the 4 piece JDM mats and they are miles better as well as very easy to clean. Well worth the money in my opinion...although I didn't pay for mine as they came with the car
Floppy - but not where it counts!
